We usually come here each Saturday and Sunday. Part of the beach is an off leash dog area which our puppy loves! It’s great to walk along the beach on a fine day, watching planes come and go. There are a number of great cafes...More

This was an interesting part of the city to visit during winter. The crashing waves were mesmerising from the car and we took a plethora of photos. We also enjoyed our bracing walk to the dairy on the foreshore, The Wellington air was certainly fresh.

Caught the 3 bus to Lyall Bay and walked along the costal path. Marine park area along the way. Very scenic. Nice day out. You can also see planes taking off and landing across the bat .

A great spot to park up and watch planes fly in and out on a windy day/evening. On a lovely day grab some fish & chips and relax

Beautiful spot for a swim on a nice day. A couple of great cafes around too. Would suggest either going by car or being prepared to walk as they are a little spread out along the bay.

Lyall Bay is a beautiful place to visit and relax. I recommend coming here on a sunny day and spending the day on the beach. There are great cafes near by to stop off for lunch.

It's a beautiful beach, a place for people and pets both. Surfers, too, if the waves are good. In addition to the sand, there is a paved walk way all around the bay. Toilets and play area for the kids. Numerous really good cafes along...More
