Take a walk - Every day at 10.00am, Walk Wellington gives you an excellent introduction into this exuberant, walkable city and its people. Our guides have a deep knowledge and love of Wellington and enjoy helping to make your visit an absolutely positively fantastic experience. Walks take two to two and a half hours. We walk every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday, rain or shine, so it's best to dress to suit the weather. During the summer (December through March) take advantage of Wellington's long days with an evening walk on Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 5.00pm. Walk Wellington tours leave from the i-SITE Visitor Centre 111 Wakefield St at Cuba St, adjacent to Civic Square. Look for the guide in the bright, green vest! Our stand is just inside the doors on the left.

A useful and interesting tour, with Kay. Well worth the small fee. But previous similar ones that we have done had had more history and anecdotes that make them more fun.

Excellent tour. Our guide was Gavin - courteous, with a huge bank of knowledge and a great gift for telling a story. Loves his home city. Nice dry sense of humour, and very good at drawing the group in together. Took us to key places,...More

Yes, you can. The tour doesn't take you past it but you can walk there from the waterfront.
