Recommend on a fine day, for the great views from the water of Wellington. Also for the walks around the island. Interesting Visitor Center with history of island and its uses.

This is a small island. You have to go thru a bio-check after getting down from ferry. East West ferry has a stop at this place. One can reach different view points by walk and enjoy beautiful views. No vehicle are there in this island....More

A nice place to escape the city and have a quiet walk. Look for the kakariki they found their dream place on Soames and are thriving.

There must be a utility vehicle or two on the island, as there are roads, plus a visitor center and some simple lodging to service. But, without knowing for sure, I would tend to doubt that they'd be available for visitor... More

As you will have seen no, there isn't a Seatoun ferrry. We usually go from Days Bay because there is free parking there, and good coffee, ice-creams and food over the road so you can get your fix before leaving.
