I love this place, as going there reminded me of the trip I took to Alcatraz. There's a fascinating quarantine and imprisonment history to the place that not everyone knows. I particularly loved seeing Wellington and the Hutt Valley from a new angle... it was...More

Lovely views, Super good value considering all you pay for is transport to the island. Nice walks, you might even see a tuatara. Weta Hotels are one of my favourite part. You book to stay a night on the island either at the campsite or...More

A nice place to escape the city and have a quiet walk. Look for the kakariki they found their dream place on Soames and are thriving.

Enjoyed our adventure to some island. The ferry ride was great and a new experience for our kids. The island is pristine, the doc staff and volunteers are passionate about what they do. The views from the island back to Wellington was fantastic. We all...More

We visited this island on a guided tour (although you can visit without a guide). Our guide was smelly, had dirty clothing and did not seem very knowledgeable. We had been led to believe that we would see lots of wildlife. As it turned out...More

As you will have seen no, there isn't a Seatoun ferrry. We usually go from Days Bay because there is free parking there, and good coffee, ice-creams and food over the road so you can get your fix before leaving.
