From the moment we stepped off our ship we knew we had made the right choice of tour operators. We were met by a smiling woman holding a sign with our name on it. She greeted us warmly and asked what we wanted to see and do.
We visited the “beehive” parliament building, saw the beautiful Pohutukawa trees ready to burst out in their red Christmas blooms, and the Gothic St. Paul’s church.
A drive out to the rural area along the rocky shoreline and up to the top of a hill for a view overlooking the area, not to mention up close to a wind generator.
We stopped for some local craft brew, meat pies and shopping. Filled the afternoon with conversations and solving all the world problems.
We were safely delivered back to our ship, given a warm, heartfelt goodbye and some delicious Whittaker’s chocolate.
A comfortable electric-hybrid vehicle, and a friendly and informative guide, made this a 5-star tour.

Thank you for a fabulous day and taking the time to do your reviews. The local chocolate is good, isn't it? Now that I think of it, so were the pies and the craft beer experience. Getting out and about, & tasting local food is my favourite kind of day. I loved that we had such a chilled time, fabulous chats & that we were able to adjust what we were doing as we went along. This tour was perfect for the amount of time we had as this was a last minute booking due to our cruise ship being rerouted to Wellington. Suzee made sure that we had all of the pickup information beforehand and gave very clear instructions to avoid any delays at the cruise port. Suzee is extremely knowledgeable about the area, was extremely flexible to our requests and tailored our tour to what we wanted to see and do. We saw not only all of the regular highlights and beautiful sights but she also took us to one her favorite places for lunch and catered to all of our requests including stopping at a grocery store to pick up some extra snacks. We were extremely glad to have booked this tour as we saw and learned so much more than we could have on our own. A small bonus was that we didn't have to wait in the very long lineup to catch the bus to and from the cruise port as the pickup and drop off were right next to the ship. If you want the VIP treatment I would highly recommend this tour.

Had an amazing day with Suzee. She spoke with us prior to our holiday to see what exactly our plans were and what we wanted to see. As neither of us had been in the Wairarapa we were keen to visit and explore the towns. My friend also had family history in Martinborough and Suzee went out of her way to discover as much as she could and take us to the relevant places. It was a great day where we didn't have to worry about driving and could just relax and enjoy the towns and special places we got to visit. Would highly recommend - very comfy vehicle and Suzee was a great host and took us to some amazing places, cheese shop, oil producer, chocolate shop, winery, as well as even finding a shoe shop for me when my boots fell apart - thank you thank you Suzee.

Thank you for your review. Much appreciated. I am delighted you had a great day too. I learnt so much about farm life and how appealing, yet difficult, it can be. There is something just lovely about being driven isn't there - especially on a road like the Remutaka Hill Rd.

Traveling from Christchurch, New Zealand, we flew to Wellington during our son's School Holidays. Our desire was to explore and understand Wellington without the hassle of navigating the city on our own. Upon reaching out, we connected with Suzee from uTours, who impressed us with her prompt responses and even took the initiative to call us, seeking to understand our preferences and objectives.
Our 8-year-old son tends to be reserved with strangers, so we wanted to ensure that our day would revolve around his comfort. Suzee, with her vibrant personality and resourcefulness, immediately made a positive impression on our son.
During our tour of Wellington, we had the luxury of riding in a comfortable vehicle while absorbing fascinating insights about the city, all while engaging in delightful conversations with Suzee. Highly recommend! A great experience! Suzee and her team really know Wellington and were able to make the day really special. Our requirements were a little unsusal and Suzee was brilliant at helping me finalise our timetable and really adaptable in working in changes to the schedule on the day. With Suzee taking group photos for us, and helping keep the rabble undercontrol meant I could sit back and enjoy the day.
Extra treats of chocolates and drinks in the van were really appreciated.

We had an amazing tour of Wellington with Suzee! Our arrival was delayed, but she contacted us and was flexible with reworking our time. We immediately felt at ease with her and were chatting like old friends. Suzee made us feel like Wellington insiders, taking us to all of the great spots and giving us fun details. She really catered the tour to our interests. It’s excellent to have someone so knowledgeable of the area that they can take a tour in any direction you choose. We would highly recommend Suzee and uTours!

Great VIP experience with a guide that truely understands the customer needs … Strongly recommended.
Great experience with a guide that understands the needs and wishes of the customer. You get a real look of what Welligton is about. Suzee our guide was super flexible and showed us what we were really looking for. We got great inside knowledge and experienced advice. Free drinks and a few snacks on board made the day even a greater success. You get certainly a VIP family treatment. In two words: Excellent service.

Hello Marc, I just picked up that I had missed responding to your review. I am so sorry. Maybe it was because I was so blown away by us all seeing the Southern Right Whale in the harbour. What a lifetime memory for us all.

The day tour with Suzee was wonderful. She picked us up on time while providing a spacious and comfortable vehicle. She had already checked on the weather and suggested we first tour an area not affected by the rain. Sites visited were extremely attractive and some were in addition to the normal listing. The routes selected for traveling provided absorbing, scenic views and her knowledge of the area made for a most informative narrative. She balanced our every wish with the time and schedule we had. One could not wish for a better time with a very knowledgeable and accommodating guide.

Getting you out of the city meant we could add the Kapiti Beaches and the rural road back to Wellington through Paekākāriki. We are loving having visitors for FIFA during winter. This was the most amazing tour! Suzee is so personable and knowledgeable, we immediately felt comfortable. We only had a day and 1/2 in Wellington so wanted to make the most of it. Suzee made recommendations on what to do on our half-day there so that we could get the most of our full day with her - it was perfect! She picked us up in a really nice van, and brought local NZ-made drinks and snacks for us. We were able to see a few highlights in Wellington on our day with her that we couldn't get done the day before (Parliament, cablecar, etc.) and then she got us out of the city. The area around Wellington is beautiful! She asked about our preferences and then took us to many beautiful places including Paraparaumu Beach, the Kaputi Island lookout, the Paekakariki Marine's Memorial, the Paekakariki Hill Road lookout, and Mt. Victoria. We had lunch together at a great seafood place in Paraparaumu Beach. It was a place where the locals go - great fish and chips! She also surprised us with a trip to a farm where we saw incredible things - won't go into detail as I don't want to ruin it for others. Suzee is an incredible tour guide, and most importantly, an incredible person! If you are thinking of doing a tour with her, don't hesitate, it is so worth it. It is one of the best things we did on our trip to NZ, and we now have a great appreciation for Wellington and the surrounding area. Suzee felt like family immediately and we will definitely stay in touch with her. The tour didn't end that day as she gave us recommendations on where to eat and stop on our way to Lake Taupo the next day. We loved our day with Suzee!

What a delight it was meeting smiling Suzee of U-Tours.. instantly felt at home. We were booked on a ‘Full Day Private Tour’ with Suzee
We opted for a Scenic Tour away from the city.
We spent a fantastic day exploring only the best sites in the region.
Enjoyed a drink at a coffee shop where locals mingle, thus providing a glimpse into Wellington lifestyles & its communities.
The tour diverted off the beaten track to explore a few hidden gems. Further along appreciated Suzee’s driving on winding road through green hills and valleys. Stopped at vantage points to capture and enjoy the sights.
Headed back to Wellington along coastline .. equally as stunning.
In a nutshell we spent a fun filled memorable day with Suzee
