Must-see for LoTR fans but also great for film-lovers in general. Also fantastic for creatives and artists.

Loved the workshop tour including miniatures experience so much it's on my to-do list again for other other tours on offer. Staff are wonderful, lots of hands on opportunities and loads of behind the scenes info about movie making.

The tour guide was really accomodating and we learned a lot from the experience. Shout out to the WETA artists for being so talented, we get to learn a bit about how they work, what they do, and just an idea how things are created and really really cool to see all of that in WETA :) I really recommend this to parents to take their kids to inspire them. This will be a cool experience for the young ones not just the fans of the movies :)

The whole tour was great. Photo opportunities.
Guide was enthusiastic about her topics and the artist - prop maker came alive - very enthusiastic when he was speaking and showing his skills. Well done to all

Did the basic tour but it’s pretty much what I needed. Everything that I needed to know was covered in the tour. Also the collectibles and items for sale in the Weta Cave store is so cheap. I bought 2x Tungsten Rings official replica and some shirts. Also they have the exclusive items on store. Looking forward to visit the Auckland Weta Workshop.

Great for LotR nerds and people interested in the movies in general. My partner and I are huge fans of the Middle Earth movies so loved everything to do with that on the tour, but the other franchises and movies we weren't to familiar with were still super interesting. Huge shout out to our tour guide Dan who was incredible, we had a few small conversations with him in the quieter moments of the tour and he was a legend!

The tour from the moment we were picked up till the moment for were dropped off was fun and full of interesting information. Grant showed as around on the way to the tour, he was friendy and really fun to chat with. Then the beautiful gift store full of soo many wonderful creations. The tour had soo much to look at that you could have spent ages really feeling apart of it all. It really shows the work and detail that goes into everything Weta does, they really all have a passion for it and it shines.

Mel was our tour guide for the workshop, she was really fun, bubbly, approachable and you could tell she wanted to be there as much as we did.

The staff/ tour guides also make the experience worth wild, the tour and transport is soo worth the money I would even say worth more.

We arrived with great vigour for our wee adventure. Our guide was sensational and so into it wasnt funny! She was great.
The tour wasnt as we expected and were not aware it was a tour of the prop division only. Still, was interesting and great to be up close with all the props.

I went with my 10 year old son on the tour. The ride from the isite to Weta Workshops was brilliant, our driver Grant was amazing with his knowledge of film sets and the areas we were driving through. Upon arriving he made sure we got our tickets and briefed us on the time for the return journey. Our tour guide Mel was passionate in her role, so informative about how things work and are made. My son was amazed with the electronic and techno side of the props where he could see himself wanting to do this. the time just flew by.
The "Thunder birds are go" set blew me away lol, After the tour we had time to wander the Weta Shop before taking the ride back into Wellington, Again our driver went out of his way as my son and I had booked the lunch after the tour and Grant walked us to the restaurant to make sure we got our table, An amazing morning Thank you..

Did this on a weekend road trip to Wellington with a couple of friends. We had a great trip, but it all pales in comparison to the Weta Workshop Experience. Excellent value for money and the most amazing two hours I have had in years!
