Since this is a quarry park, most of the paths are muddy and uneven. We went there when the rain just stopped.
The flowers, trees and the garden are well manicured. My daughter enjoyed the Butterfly garden and it is educational. The rose garden smells terrific. There’s a garden with Braille system and they call it Sensory garden.
Some parts are covered. The pond has a lot of insects.
Parking is quite plenty. Toilet is fine and this park has water fountain too.
There’s a lookout point which is a good spot to rest and talk some nature’s photos.
Overall, this Garden is good place to visit.
Takes 1 hour to see everything in this park.

This is a must do trip if you are staying in Tauranga. Large and beautifully landscaped gardens with many paths, sculptures, artworks and musical instruments! It has a large carpark and it is free! There is also a bush walk opposite the garden paths. We were very impressed with this amazing park and will be back.

Wow - such a lovely surprise finding this place. We spotted the sign and pulled in and spent hours walking around this quarry garden. Everything was a delight, the sculptures, the trees, the flowers, the views awesome. Well worth a stop for some fresh air and exercise.

Lot's to see - even when it's raining!
Plenty of different paths to explore. An interesting variety of art around every corner. A real gem in the Bay of Plenty.

This is one of those places that you stumble across and could happily spend far longer here than you have available. There are so many hidden parts to the garden including interactive parts . The views from further up the gardens are fantastic and are worth bringing a picnic to. Definitely worth a return visit.

A bit of a hidden gem out of Tauranga that I hadn't heard of until it was recommended to me. Beautiful gardens for enthusiasts and a great place to get your steps up even if you're not that much into plants. Walk high enough and you get a great view too.

Lovely surprise. First thing stepping out of the car was the birds songs - so many! They must love this peaceful place.
With the endless different paths you can easily spend a good few hours with the family ( which we did) including young kids and teenagers. Well taken care of, so much creativity with the plants and the art. We loved treasure hunting ( using the info pamphlet) for the numerous sculptures ending with the wonderful dragon.
Different areas of different types of plants from various area in the world.
You can feel this park is loved by those taking care of it.
