Me and my partner love coming here with our friends, we always manage to get a good deal and the pools are so relaxing, it’s such a great environment for family’s with the bbq tables and public pool but if you wanna get away they have amazing private pools, my faviroute private pools will have to the open roof ones.

Prevent children from jumping into the pool!

We stayed in a very small cabin overnight, The only things for bedding was a bottom sheet and pillow each, Small fridge was off at wall and closed and stunk There was a kettle with 2 cups and 2 glasses BUT no coffee, tea etc let alone running water. The biggest disadvantage was no toilet or tv. There wasn't even a hose outside. The heater was there for an ornament as it didnt work and one little bedside table. I will never be going back there and advise everyone to think twice before booking. We would have had more fun camping. Ripped off!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible customer service from who I could almost guarantee is the owner. I arrived with my 6 and 7 year old and a concession pass. Given children cost less than half the cost of an adult I politely requested if the kids could be admitted with a single click (i.e. one adult). The lady behind the desk proceeded to sternly tell me “You cannot refer to the standard admission prices - as that’s not the way it works!”. Proceeding to provide me with a Sunday evening math lesson with the general gist being that as concession passes are discounted at purchase she would be taking a massive financial blow of $3 by doing this. I can actually see where her line of thinking is on this but… really. To but salt into the mineral water wounds, she was more than happy to click away and admit my kids at full adult prices with absolutely no offer of credit or dialogue whatsoever. Just a surely look fit for someone trying to rob the establishment as opposed to taking the kids for a relaxing Sunday swim. I guess at Fernland Spa if someone needs to take a loss, it’s best to ensure that’s the customer.

Nice place to stay. Clean and tidy. Reasonably priced. Enjoyed the pool. Cabin was warm. People were nice.

I came upon this place by chance as i was looking for hot pools on google and this place popped up, what a nice surprise. We booked in here for 3 nights in the motorhome as they have powered and non powered sites and also cabins available. When you stay here there is free use of the large mineral pool which is in a beautiful setting with ferns etc, you can also book the private pools if you want there is a charge for them though. this place was clean, well looked after and nice surprise to find the grounds are well kept with the sound of the Tui and Morpork great price and great place, we will be back.

Fernland spa is a hidden gem.
This is a pool that is emptied every day and refilled with refreshing mineral water that has no chemicals added. Your skin comes out feeling like you’ve had a spa treatment.
The pool is 3/4 of a meter deep sitting in it is no problem for 1 to 2 hours.
They also have private posts available for hire. We enjoyed our coffee sitting on the lawn in the barbecue area before we enter the pool complex.

Gosh, what a fabulous place. Beautiful grounds, clean pools which have been modernised, friendly and helpful AND well priced.
We stayed in the campground in our motorhome. From the moment we arrived, the warmest, most helpful welcome. Pool was impeccably clean, changing sheds fine - clearly been modernised. Cafe was small, but thats all that was needed. Really liked that they had something for all ages including eskimo lollies for kids at 5/$1, little lollie snakes for individual sale, so parents (o kids) could still spend 50c or a dollar, like when we grew up.
Clearly investment going in with lots of lights on the extensive plantings, roadway had no potholes. It was just a little gem really.
