Visited Sunday 4th September. We drove along Minden Road but couldn't find the lookout or a sign directing us to the lookout off Minden Road. After we had travelled too far we turned around and headed back to the main road. On the way down we were rewarded with fantastic views of Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. Well worth going along Minden Road and hopefully you will find the lookout or at least see the same views we did.

We took the short drive to Minden Lookout to capture this view of the Mount. The weather was just as spectacular as the view.

It's 30 minutes at least from the centre of Tauranga to get here. The lookout is a small wooden terrace up some steps. Yes you can see the countryside and just about make out the sea but the views are unspectacular. There are no facilities at all here. Don't waste the time to get there.

Just went for a drive on a road we had not driven before and was amazed to find this lookout. Easy access and excellent view

I live at the bottom of Minden Road and always take our visitors up to see the view from the Lookout. From the Lookout you can see 180 degree view of the Bay of Plenty. On a good day you can see almost up to Waihi and the Kaimai's to Mount Maunganui it certainly is a fabulous view.

Not too far out of Tauranga. Lookout on the corner of Minden & Junction Roads. The most beautiful views of Tauranga. We took quite a few snap shots!

Came here in the middle of a rainstorm so the view was not like the pictures but was still *Very* enjoyable. There is a pullout on the north side of the road as well as the south side (with the roof covering you see in the photos).

A little bit out of town but worth a drive for the amazing view. The day we visited was a bit grey but on a clear day it would be amazing
