Hukafalls Jet is the only jet boat company permitted to take you to the base of the mighty Huka Falls for unique water-level views. This half hour of thrills, fun and excitement takes you along the beautiful Waikato River, lined with native bush, sheer rock cliff face and hot water streams. You’ll travel in one of our state of the art jet boats at an incredible 80km an hour and along the way you’ll experience our thrilling 360° spins. Operating on this stretch of the river since 1990, Hukafalls Jet has an outstanding record of professionalism and safety. Nothing gets you closer to the mighty Huka Falls!

Super fun!! My 9-year-old daughter LOVED this activity, especially the 360s. Tee was awesome! Tons of fun but kept us really safe too. Totally recommend!!!

The worst touring company in our New Zealand vacation. Per the attached image, company decided to switch our appointment time to a time we couldn’t do. I believe the company has bad time management with the booking. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere

Scott was the best driver and we had a blast! We felt super safe the whole time and it was an incredible 10/10 experience from the staff to the incredibly breathtaking view!

Visited on a beautiful sunny day in Oct 2023.
This is a must do. To see the falls up very close and pass by them within inches, then you have to do this ride.
Our driver for the day was excellent. He was very skilled and really pushed the limits but at no time did it ever feel unsafe. He was incredibly knowledgeable and stopped at the dam at the end to explain about hydro power and how they filmed the barrel scene in the Hobbit there. At the other end he stopped at the falls, making for some really stunning photos.
Apologies but I forgot his name but the date was the 20/10/23 (afternoon) so please look back at rosters and thank him for us. He even took the time after the ride to provide ourselves and another couple with two maps to show where the best Bungee spots were. A real asset to your business.
There are numerous Jet boat rides around the island and this was the first we found. Doing it on Huka? It fulfilled the experience we needed and so we never felt the need to try another. We'd love to revisit again one day. Thank you.

We loved every second of this ride! Close view of the falls. The driver was very considerate of all the participants, gave a little information about the surroundings and history. Came away wet and big smiles!

This was our third visit. Tee gave us our best ride yet. Loads of twists and 360 turns. Water everywhere! So much fun. Awesome views of the beautiful Huka Falls.

Such a cool experience. Our driver Phil was knowledgeable about the area and a crack-up so that was an awesome bonus. Prepare to get wet!
Only slight downside is the price ($139NZD adult) so honestly, it’s work bundling together with the AJ Hackett’s Bungy (Bungy + Jet combo) so get your money’s worth for adventure sports in Taupo!
