It was tranquil beautiful day on the water. Thanks to friendly and professional staff of Taupo Canoe and Kayaks there was nothing to worry about. We were surrounded by pristine nature of Waikato region and visited hot water beach. Bring your toggs to soak in this natural pool. Also, we were observing bungy jumpers from the best viewing point - from the water.

Loved this trip! A leisurely paddle down the mighty Waikato, in the most stunning surroundings. Our guide, Jar, was fantastic - very knowledgeable about local history and lots of fun. It wasn't too strenuous - anyone could do it - highly recommended!

Fantastic experience hiring 2 boards for 4 hours. Customer service was outstanding and went over and above when is normal or necessary. Great tips on where to go due to current weather conditions. Would totally recommend this company.

We arrived at the Canoe and Kayak shop before 9am and met the other participants. After a briefing we boarded the van and drove the short distance to the starting point. Jayden gave us an excellent explanation of what to expect and how to adjust the settings on the kayaks. We set off and had an enjoyable paddle around to the rock carvings and were also given the story behind the carvings. After going ashore for a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits we set off again on the return journey. All in all it was a great morning with a relaxed atmosphere and the trip was well-run. Highly recommended!

Perfect length of trip even though I hadn’t paddled for months. Great way to really feel you’ve really engaged with the lake beyond just looking at it and swimming briefly around the edges. Expert guide - felt totally secure even when wind made things a bit rough.
