We pulled off onto a scenic route to see an overlook of the falls. With all the other cool sites in the area, this was enough of a view for us. Beautiful blue-green water!

Visited in the morning and no trouble parking. Short walk for spectacular views. It was mid May and a lot of water flowing.

We did the walk along the river from town. Great way to see the beauty of the river rather than driving straight to the car park. Easy walk that most could handle. Falls are a must see in Taupo.

We enjoyed the walk, which follows the Waikato River, despite the rain. It is an easy walk but worthwhile.

Stunning as always. The weather was a bit cool but didn't detract from the beauty of this place. A special trip. Highly recommend.

Great place where you can feel the power of nature. Amazing view, a bit pity that we visited this place on the rainy day. Nevertheless this is surely first class attraction and the must do during the NZ trip.

If you're lucky enough to walk these tracks during late March or April, you'll be treated with the blackberry bushes that are along the track. Watch your step though! Trying to grab one of those delicious ripe berries may leave you toppling over, down the...More
