"Be Fearless" Come on board Fearless for simply the best sailing experience on Great Lake Taupō. This is the more intimate cruise option to the famous Maori Rock carvings, with sleek lines and a maximum of only 18 passengers. Guests can relax on beanbags and snuggle under blankets, or give the crew a hand. The pirate-themed Sail Fearless has got to be the not-so-buried treasure of Great Lake Taupō . With a heart of gold and extensive knowledge of the region, lake and notoriously quick-tempered weather of New Zealand it is no wonder Fearless (David) has won so many awards for his affordable cruises. The Experience Experience the beauty and thrill of a scenic journey out to the infamous Maori rock carvings taking in the popular Te Kopua and Acacia Bays en route. Be sure to bring your camera to capture some of the most breathtaking views around. The Sailing Fearless sails under full sail or gently meanders, when it is truly calm, by motor. The Swim Stop Each trip includes a swimming stop in summer or winter if your brave (weather depended). The longest swim stop out of any other company on the lake. The Refreshments Light Refreshments can be purchased from the cheapest bar on the lake or you can also bring your own light refreshments for your convenience. So come and join us on Fearless for a trip to remember! note Please be at Berth # 31, 15 minutes prior to sailing time. Also please bring warm clothing & soft shoes (No hard shoes) You are more than welcome to bring food and drinks on-board too.

This stunning day was superbly orchestrated by one man with the skills, personality, local knowledge and understanding to provide the “Total Package” for his diverse sailing companions. It was magnificent, the yacht awesome with age and character, the flexibility to adjust to conditions and the experience amazing. Thank you, we will return and enjoy your sunset cruise.

Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Lake Taupo and wanting a trip out on the lake! Very attentive crew who go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time! Great experience with the sails up feeling the breeze on your face whilst taking in the beautiful scenery of the magnificent lake! Thanks again to all the crew for such a great experience!

We loved the entire experience. We were lucky enough to have the whole boat to ourselves. Dave was fantastic and super friendly and accommodating. Pizza and drinks were delicious. If you're looking for a fantastic lake experience I would highly recommend this one.

We had also much fun sailing with Nathan and Aaron! We motored out to the beautiful Māori carvings and got to swim off the boat in a calm cove. Then we sailed back to the marina, and Nathan let our young kids “steer” the boat. They loved it!! Highly recommend to everyone visiting the area.

Right from online booking to the day of boarding was all very easy. The cruise was epic with story telling along the way pointing out some very significant information about the area of beautiful Taupo and its surroundings. Another highlight was they still operated Christmas eve and it was family friendly, we were able to take our small chilly bin on board as I packed my kids and I some food and drinks. They had options of beverages on board which was a nice to enjoy as we sailed back into the dock. Our family day could not have been anymore amazing. Thank you so much David for your hospitality throughly enjoyed every minute 😊 will be doing again

It rained and the crew changed us to a catamaran. Even though it was misty rainwe loved the trip. We sat outside and watched the view. The crew was very informative and friendly. The rock carvings were beautiful. The crew gave history talks on the whole area. Then everyone jumped off for a swim. Great tour. Highly recommend

Was a great, chill, trip. I love less crowded and small proprietor trips when i can find them . The pizza and beer ( or non alcoholic) was a really nice addition. Captain and proprietor Dave was very friendly and hospitable.

I had a great time. Very nice captain (knew a lot too), pretty boat and good service. The lake was cool and we could swim as well. The carvings were Nice too, but les van exciting for me personally

We took the lunchtime tour on the Fearless and this was the highlight of our visit to Taupo and one of the most pleasant experiences on the North island. Prior to arriving, booking online was simple and communication with David after booking was good. On arrival, David made everyone feel at ease. We left on time and enjoyed free drinks and pizza on board. David provided us with clear explanations of what we were doing and seeing, and was able to switch between motor and sail depending on whether the wind was enough to sail the boat along. David was a skilful skipper and friendly and thoughtful tour guide.

The overall experience of this sail was wonderful - friendly staff, and a free drink included. However, the Maori carvings are only 40 years old and there's not many - pretty underwhelming. I would still recommend this as it was nice and relaxing being out on the lake, and the swim was so refreshing. Just manage your expectations for the carvings.

Hi,
I don't know for what day you booked and if this answer comes too late...but the tour finishes at around 12.00pm. And it takes about at least 1 hour to go to the mountains. So to be honest I think it is quite hard to fit both in one day...
