Took this cruise on a weekday (Friday) and it wasn’t too busy. We wanted to see the Maori carvings and this was a much cheaper option than hiring jet skis. Our skipper Kerry was chatty and knowledgeable and a competent sailor. Our journey was calm and a bit chilly with the breeze, but a warm coat was offered. Warm drinks and bathroom also on offer inside the boat. BYO snacks and booze. 2.5 hour round trip. No one swam (too cold) but he did allow a short amount of time for that. Great way to spend a laid back afternoon.

Hi Megan, thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review. We are thrilled that you loved your experience and I hope you liked the information about the carvings. Kerry will definitely be happy to read what you wrote. I am pleased you were offered a warm coat/poncho that is exactly what they are there for, cooler days.

A wonderful and relaxing trip on the Barbury. No noisy motor. Just the sails and the quiet eco electric motor if needed. Our skipper Chris was excellent. Really interesting information and an all round nice guy to chat to. We'd definitely do again. The rock carving was well worth the visit and the interesting information behind it as well.

Thank you very much for your fabulous review, Chris will be glad you appreciated his service. Yes we are the real deal as far as sustainability goes. When the electric motor is used it is very non intrusive. A good true story certainly helps the carvings come alive!
