Excellent service and ideal way to see just a small section of the enormous Lake Taupo. Good skipper and commentary over an interesting 2 hour sail. Very good value for money.

Hi there, Its great you enjoyed your trip out on Lake Taupo but I think you went out with another operator as we do not do Cultural Thursday sailings. We do include history and culture in our on board commentary. Thanks Sail Barbary

The Skipper handled the Barbary ship very efficiently in the very very rough weather conditions. It was very exciting at times, Had to hang on to anything to stop from going overboard, but the Skipper was not worried and told us about his adventures on...More

Hi there, I think windy weather is the best time to be out sailing because it is so exciting. You now have a very memorable sail to tell your friends about. Thanks Sail Barbary

Hi David, Taupo weather has been all over the place this season, more unpredictable than the usual spring weather, so we are really pleased that you made the best of it. Thanks Sail Barbary

Host Sarah was friendly and easy going. You sit along the top of the boat but there is room below if the weather turns bad. Although the wind wasn't in our favour she hoisted the sails whilst we motored along quietly on electric. For $NZ44...More

Hi there It was so good you got to take advantage of our spring special of $44. Yes that is the benefit of an electric engine, no noise or diesel smells. Sarah is a fantastic host. Thanks Sail Barbary
