Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing work by volunteers has created a beautiful garden with an array of flowering shrubs, established trees annuals and wildflowers.
The cemetery is more like a botanical garden and would rival any that the regions have on offer.

Who would have thought going to a cemetery would be such an amazing experience. It is truely beautiful and the residents are truly at rest. All denominations represented. It is set in a tranquil, peaceful environment. You can easily spend a couple of hours there reading the names on the headstones reflecting on people’s losses and memories. it is a history lesson well worth visiting. It is close to town off Lemon street and has good parking. Nice views of the city and beyond, out to sea.

This is the most beautiful cemetery garden and lovely to walk through. When we went the cherry trees were flowering and numerous plants too. It's stunning and so well cared for. Well worth a visit and it's so large you can easily spend 2 hours walking through it.

This must be one of loveliest cemeteries in the world. We were tipped off to visit while in New Plymouth and couldn't believe how wonderful it is. These volunteers are superb gardeners - what a labour of love and how rich the rewards are for visitors. Thank you.

What a beautiful place! Flowers growing everywhere, thanks to a small team of dedicated volunteers. I’ve never seen such a beautiful cemetery - it’s like strolling through a wonderful wildflower garden. If you visit New Plymouth and enjoy gardens, do not miss this surprising gem in the city.

I discovered this when i was walking on the trail. An extensive cemetery, well maintained. There were people walking, people picnicking.

A beautiful historic cemetery in the heart of the city, telling the story of the settlement via a the people buried there. Established trees, gardens ,birds and a few rabbits! Well worth a quiet stroll around. Maintained by a valuable team of volunteers.

This is the oldest cemetery in New Plymouth, dating from 1861. It is very large. The space is impressive. Lots of old graves, and rows of servicemen's graves. The greenery is impressive too, with many colourful lilies. The cemetery is well cared for and is an interesting place to spend some time. Well worth a visit.

Was enchanted by the beautiful old world cottage garden feel of the flower gardens being looked after by "the ghosts of the cemetery. It was utterly charming.
