Learn about the history of this iconic forest, its Californian Redwood giants, the people (iwi) and the land (whenua). Enjoy at your own pace either individually, or as a group, with no safety harness or training required. Appreciate the peacefulness and spirit of this special forest and leave feeling inspired, refreshed and rejuvenated.

My husband and I opted to try both the night and day treewalks. I have to admit it was a little eerie doing it at night, especially since there were very few other visitors there that night (which is a plus in many ways). At...More

This is a great place for a Night Walk in the tree tops. Very well laid out and lots of fun. Plenty of information about the trees you see. The night bird sounds are just beautiful. Take this walk on dust and lanterns and little...More

A walk in the trees was a great way to see from another perspective, learn something about forestry in NZ and have a bit of fun. The walk is path of suspension bridges, wobbly and fun but not that far off the ground as to...More

We had been wanting to visit for quite some time and as we left Hamilton on a damp misty morning I did think that perhaps we had chosen the wrong day. Imagine our delight to find the sun shining when we reached Rotorua and hardly...More

Nice to walk among these forest giants (by NZ standards) but quite expensive to the family experience. Later our daughter quite sensibly said 'let's walk the forest floor', which was a much more serene experience.

Depending on what you think value for money is - I thought $69 for a night family pass for 5 was fine. Hell the work and time gone into this 500mtr walk I think some people should be more grateful of and appreciate what it...More
