It takes about 20 mins from Rotorua via car but well worth the trip to this relaxing, non-bustling spot with beautiful pools and very clean area.

The pictures I'd seen of this place made it look fairly nice/romantic but I felt it had more of a feel of a holiday park.

Hi Julie The facility is open every day except Christmas from 10 am. I don't recall the exact price, but think it was something like $25-30 per adult for general admission. It's about 30 minutes from Rotorua

Wouldn't think so. Was quiet enough when we went that you never felt overcrowded in the main pools and didn't see the private pools being used.
