The pictures I'd seen of this place made it look fairly nice/romantic but I felt it had more of a feel of a holiday park.

Really nice little place with a variety of pools. It is set up sort of like spa grounds but is very laid back. We did the private pool option since we were two people and the cost was negligibly more for a private option. This...More

Bubbling hot water springs, a short but well maintained eco-trail, and a lovely soak in mineral hot pools afterwards. Well worth the drive.

Hi Julie The facility is open every day except Christmas from 10 am. I don't recall the exact price, but think it was something like $25-30 per adult for general admission. It's about 30 minutes from Rotorua

Wouldn't think so. Was quiet enough when we went that you never felt overcrowded in the main pools and didn't see the private pools being used.
