Visited Miranda Hot Springs near Auckland, enjoyed the experience so wanted to do something similar whilst in Rotorua. The pools are not far out of town (under 30km) and there's an adjoining campsite. The entrance is a short walk from the car park and you can get a 10% discount voucher from the nearby Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland if you visit... More

As we were on holiday from Australia and didn't bring towels, it was more economical to purchase the private spa room for both of us rather than hire towels at $5 each. The private room came with 2 fluffy white towels and a bottle of spring water each for $26 each. There was a dressing room, an outdoor shower and... More

Magical place! Be sure to take the walk along the thermal stream - takes you back to prehistoric times. Amazing. The pools are wonderful too! Several options of temperatures and vistas. Totally relaxing and enlightening place!

A quite remote location from Rotorua. Entry is reasonable (about twelve pounds). The hot water comes from the nearby stream where they have to cool it down for the pools as it starts of boiling. Thee are several pools of different sizes to lay in. There is also a cafe and water stations to keep hydrated. Afterwards you can shower... More

Take the time to drive out of Rotorua and off the highway to this place. Better value than the thermal pools closer to town and on the main highway. They hire bathers, towels and lockers. You will feel a million dollars after soaking in the pools for a couple of hours. I went in winter and the place was deserted,... More

We took our caravan expecting a lovely few days. The powered site was adequate but no way to erect an awning. The toilet and kitchen facilities were not adequate for the numbers of visitors staying even allowing a couple of extras in the pool complex. Only one sink and stove in the kitchen which was abysmal for the number of... More

Little run down pools and facilities but still okay, private pool was about $50 for 40 min, water empties in pool daily so a bit dirty with hair and STUFF! By late afternoon Food was average but short walk to see boiling water was very interesting and a must see once here For a budget with kids worth a visit,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of hours there. The staff friendly, pools so relaxing and refreshing. Even took the time to walk to the spot to see the bubbling water. Wow!

Excellent! Arrived late, but they managed to squeeze us into the last spot. Camping fee includes access to the thermal pools too - great value as they can be accessed on arrival, as well as early on the morning of departure when they are quiet.

We loved the pools - we went for the private pool option which was really amazing and meant a private shower too
