    Good
Feels like a public swimming pool, but with a few onsen like hot pools. It was quite relaxing to soak in the pools and I spent about 1.5 hrs. Towels & swimmers are available for rental for $12 ($5 deposit returned after towel returned) Would give it a miss, especially since there are so many other things to do.

    Great family attraction
I take my grandchildren each time they visit Rotorua. The pools are very clean with fresh water every day. A family pool plus some smaller soaking pools which I enjoy. Take a walk to check out the spring which is the water source

    Soothing and relaxing
Fantastic complex with lots of pools to choose from, varying in temperature. Very scenic and the Eco trail was well worth it to see the huge boiling spring. Our only concern was that so many people were not following the pool rule of not submerging their heads. This wasn't enforced and people told us they go regularly and it has never been an issue. Why have the rule if it is not going to be enforced? We concluded that maybe it was thought that the signs are up and it is up to visitors to look after themselves and take the risk. We decided to take the cautious approach. Who wants to get sick when we have enough to worry about with the pandemic...

    Such Beauty!
This place is AMAZING. Want to relax? Here is your place. We will be coming back to this area some day and this is the first place I will go. Clean tubs, beautiful views, and kind staff. And the price is perfect.

    Couples Getaway
We attended the private spa pool as a couple. The space was clean and inviting and worth the money for the extra private space. The pool was able to be made warmer and colder at our will with taps. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The deal we got included cold water and a platter afterwards, which had onion rings, spring rolls etc. Overall was worth the extra price for the private spa

    Great hot springs!
Possibly the best hot springs I’ve ever been to! Several very nice soaking pools, spacious locker rooms, a nice lobby and a trail that goes along the little cabin that the hot water flows through. My only regret is not having as much time to soak as I would have liked due to my schedule.

    Favourite hot pools!
After being away from NZ for 8 years, coming home and spending time in Waikite Valley was worth the drive out of town! The hot pools were clean and the private pool was in a nice setting, very affordable in comparison to other hot pools and the walk to the spring showed some of the best activity! Definitely make the visit out to Waikite Valley as you won’t regret it!

    worth the drive from rotorua
such a great place to visit, well worth the 30min drive from Rotorua. a range of pools to soak in and a large enough area for the kids to splash about without bothering those in the hottest pools. had food there too, Nachos were spot on and the hot chip were good. will be getting an annual ticket so we can come back every month.

Lovely hot pools located in a beautiful setting away from town and away from the throngs of tourists. There are a number of pools of all depths and temperatures to suit everyone.

Hey - wanna soak in a real NZ thermal pool and not pay a fortune?
We found Waikite thermal pools by accident and, though there are adequate public pools, opted for a private pool.
Perfect for an escape and a relax without overinflated Rotorua prices, Waikite had lovely, friendly staff and, though off the beaten track, was well worth it.

Saw the sign on the main road and decided to have a look. Wasn't disappointed when we came across these beautiful pools. There were about 5 or 6 different pools all at slightly hotter temps which provided a very relaxing afternoon.
