First of all , Rotorua to start with is a beautiful city with many interesting things to visit. Roger however is the added bonus to this amazing city. His personality is so entertaining and fun to be with. He has an impressive knowledge about his hometown almost like a walking google. He is patient with kids too and make this tour very kids friendly. The bike route is beautiful with lots of Beautiful scenery and educational facts .He brings the group close together and at the end of the tour we feel from stranger to friends .
Thank you roger!

This tour was very unique. The guide, Roger, was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable, very entertaining, and a pleasure to spend time with. The bike tour is relatively easy and there is only one small hill. Everything else is level or downhill. You see mud baths, hot springs, silicon coated lake, sulphur smoke (which gives the town its “special” smel), Lake Rotorua, the gardens, and the old bath house, which is now the Rotorua museum. The tour takes about 3 hours but it is a very leisurely pace. I highly recommend it. It was very enjoyable and a great way to see the city and learn about it.

Rogers was the most passionate, knowledgeable and kind tour guide just bursting with positive vibes.
Highly recommended as a must do when visiting Rotorua. He answered almost all questions and queries we had and Aso educated us about the city tour in Many ways. The Cycling was very relaxing and even my pregnant wife had no issues and thoroughly enjoyed it.

What a way to spend time exercising, learning and having so much fun with Roge, who is so passionate about Rotorua and sharing history, culture and humour with his guests. May I say, the best tour we’ve ever had! The key points that impressed us the most:
safety and hygiene are well taken care of, massive knowledge about the area’s geology, local attractions, and cultural interaction. We’ve been in Rotorua many times but discovered so much more about the place on the tour.
We found out about Happy Ewe from Tripadvisor and were intrigued with such a positive rating, now we know why! Roge and the whole team are so friendly, welcoming, accommodating and helpful. We had so much fun and fantastic time! Thanks Roge for the great experience! Not to forget an excellent coffee on the premises!

Roger was AMAZING! VERY knowledgeable and SUPER nice guy! It was raining on our tour and he kept giving us the option to delay the tour to later in the day when it cleared up. Not many tour companies will do that! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I personally would have liked to have done more biking. However, I understand this tour has to be designed to accommodate families with small children, etc. I just love getting my sweat in the for the day while sight seeing at the same time. Roger, maybe you could offer a more advanced rider option? YOU'RE THE BEST! I LOVE YOUR PASSION FOR YOUR HOME TOWN!

Fantastic overview of Rotorua, its history and culture on a leisurely bicycle tour around the city. Roger, the owner of Happy Ewe Cycler Tours, was our host on this beautiful spring Sunday morning and his knowledge, energy and passion for his home city and culture, was infectious. Our party of six, were treated to the sights, smells, and sounds of this very unique place, full of interesting stops (27 in all), guided by a local entrepreneur, only to proud to share his knowledge. Easy riding, pleasant conversations, and good humour combined with learning about the history and culture of the city made for a five star experience. Listed as a 3-hour tour, Rogers was only to keen to allow the additional questions and chatter, which took us to about 30 minutes over. Happy trails Roger!!!

This is a great tour to start your Rotorua holiday on, no matter what your age (as long as you can ride a bike), easy going and relaxing. So informative on and respectful of local history and culture. You learn facts that you would otherwise literally just step over without a thought. And the use of the temperature gauge really put things into perspective.
Thanks Roge and Roge's Mum! ......

My husband and I had the pleasure of doing the tour with Kelly last week. We enjoyed it thoroughly as he was so informative, interesting and fun. The ride is fairly short but you see so much in the 3 hours tour with lots of variety between culture, history, geo thermal etc. We often do bike tours when we travel and Happy Ewes made us very Happy indeed! Highly recommend it. Kelly emailed us photos before we had even made it to our next stop which was just icing on the cake a a great time.

I joined Roger on this cycling adventure during my recent stay in Rotorua. It was a lot of fun and I don’t remember ever having spent such an enjoyable morning on a sight-seeing tour. Roger was very enthusiastic and knowledgable about his hometown. At the various stops on the tour he shared interesting facts and anecdotes about the sights and explained the geothermal activities and particularities that we saw in detail. I felt I learnt a lot in such a short amount of time and I would highly recommend joining this tour when you are in town.

Hi Tracey!
Welcome to Happy Ewe. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. But Great to hear you're avid cyclists, as we are too :-)
The tour is a 3 hour guided experience of Rotorua. We are not yet big enough to offer multi day excursions. Happy Ewe is a small business which I started to show off my hometown as I experienced it growing up. Once you get here and see it you'll realise how crazy we are! Our prices can be seen on our website, the address is listed below.
There is plenty of accomodation in Rotorua, let me know if you would like me to delve deeper and pick some out for you.
More information on us can be found on our website, just Google happy ewe cycle tours and it will come up :-)
Thanks so much for your enquiry and taking notice of us. Have a wonderful day
Cheers
Roger

Hello,
We are a Belgian couple planning a trip to New Zealand in Februari-March. We like cycling so your attraction is appealing. However we will have our 6 year old son with us. So we were wondering: Do you have possibilities for kids bikes (tagalongs)?
Thanks for the feedback.
Best Regards,
Koen
