Ziplining Forest Experience - The Ultimate Canopy Tour Rotorua

953 reviews
Experience the vibrant New Zealand bush on this unique, thrilling zipline adventure. Get right up into the otherwise-inaccessible canopy of the Bay of Plenty forest, where native birds like tui, robins and plump kereru make their homes, and zip through the native trees to the forest floor. This small-group adventure is a great way to experience New Zealand’s native forests without working up a sweat or waiting in line forever.

We took the kids up to the luge for the day and discovered Volcanic hill Winery when we got there! Larissa was a fantastic host, wines up for tasting were equally as good and so was the food! Definitely worth the visit!

We had a couple of hours to kill so went up the gondola with the intention of having a coffee at the top and enjoying the view. We wandered into Volcanic Hills Winery and met Brent after that we have one of the most informative and enjoyable hour and a half of wine tasting and learning we have ever had. Very slow day and we were the only ones there Brent was very welcoming and I believe happy to see someone. He clearly knew his stuff and put to beds some misconceptions I had about wine and port he showed interest in us and we shared some overseas experiences. When I was researching Rotorua on TA I was surprised VHW was rated number 1 thing to do, I now know why am nearly 60 years old have been to wine tastings in many places inside and outside of New Zealand...go see Brent and by some of their great wines/port.

Our daughter in London bought us a voucher for the winery so we went for a visit on a Friday lunch. We were warmly greeted by owners Larissa and Brent , had a table with an amazing view, and had excellent food and wine. We spent quality time with Brent getting some great education on wines and learnt about tasting etc. We had a fantastic visit and highly recommend this winery / experience. Thanks Larissa and Brent for your great hospitality!
