This was my second visit to Polynesian Spa and I was so looking forwards to it...relaxing in the Lake Spa pools overlooking the lake, followed by a spa treatment (Vitalising back therapy). Sadly, the Lake Spa pools were any thing but relaxing...full of crying toddlers,...More

Great way to unwind after a day's activities in Roto - There's a choice of public spa, private spa pools (at $100+ per hour a bit too expensive imho) or (our choice) Lake Spa thermal pool complex with 4 pools total, overlooking Lake Rotorua -...More

We were excited about our visit to the Polynesian Spa since we read it was rated as a top 10 spa experience world wide. Clearly this was given based on the uniqueness of the landscape and the mineral pools and not on the service, treatment...More

The Spa treatment (mud & massage) while pricey NZ$150 was good but a one time experience. The facility is nothing more than a bath house with hot springs to soak in. The numerous spa facilities I've been to over the years include a combination of...More

A good place to relax and take time to chill out, we also had a message which was well worth the money.

Going to New Zealand is not complete without going to Rotorua. When I reach there I smell sulfur all over the city but it was the smell of money honey-say one of the local people to me.

We bought admission for the Lake Spa deluxe pools and had a very good time. This spa is open until 11 pm, which was great because we arrived just before sunset and remained until well after dark. The location overlooking lake Rotorua is fantastic. Everyone...More

Some times your experience of a place or avent is influenced by out side factures. Some reviewers have been disappointed because of the other people invading thier time in the thermal pools. You could hire one of the private pools but they looked a bit...More

Hi there, thank you for your question. We recommend pre-booking our private pools or if you wish to enjoy one of our day spa products. You dont need to pre-book for our other bathing products. Hope this helps!

Considering you are used to Chicago in the winter you will not find it cold, but it does rain a lot. The pools will be too hot for a small child. There is a family section. Take your kid there

Hi there - November see us well into spring so it would be a great option during the day. We would recommend the Lake Spa as you can enjoy a variety of pools and the views with your little one.
