I must say that I am a little baffled by some negative reports. My wife and I booked a visit and were very impressed by our treatment. We checked in Saturday morning for a couple's massage that evening in the adult part of the Polynesian...More

We visited the Polynesian Spa for a relaxing evening tonight. We didn’t get what we paid for. The entry was professional and easy. My idea of a hot springs spa is tranquility and peace. We did not get that tonight. The first pool we entered...More

The Polynesian Spa lacks a lot of ambience and relaxation. The lighting is all wrong, literally football spot lights shining in some pools and all no creativity whatsoever. All this place needs is some lanterns, lights in the trees or some little touch of magic....More

I used the thermal bath pools soak during the day and it was rather relaxing and I would do it again. I did follow the soak with an anti-stress massage but I was not too thrilled with the therapist. And I understand that this could...More

What a phenomenal facility. We had a private deluxe pool which was a treat as well as the mud wrap and massage which was an incredible experience, the massage was perfect. Highly recommend this place over Hell’s Gate. Worth the price!More

The spa is dirty, and expensive. The recently restored Blue Baths next door were cheaper and empty. The changing rooms were grubby and the water in the spas dirty. Just a hot bath shared with lots of grubby strangers, spend your money elsewhere.

We enjoyed our visit a lot. Once you get past the smell, it’s very relaxing! Lovely facilities and towels provided if you pay for the deluxe package.

We pre booked a private tub to start off (our 7pm arrival prevented us from sampling any treatments as businesses in NZ tend to close much earlier than a typical North American is used to) - the private tub was a great way to start,...More

Thanks for your review pentrails, the sulfur can take a while to get used to here. Its caused by the geothermal activity that makes Rotorua the second largest caldera in the world. Its also the cause for the geothermal hot springs on site here at...More

Hi there, thank you for your question. We recommend pre-booking our private pools or if you wish to enjoy one of our day spa products. You dont need to pre-book for our other bathing products. Hope this helps!

Considering you are used to Chicago in the winter you will not find it cold, but it does rain a lot. The pools will be too hot for a small child. There is a family section. Take your kid there

Hi there - November see us well into spring so it would be a great option during the day. We would recommend the Lake Spa as you can enjoy a variety of pools and the views with your little one.
