Polynesian Spa is New Zealand’s leading international day spa. In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa.

Thank you to the team at the Polynesian Spa for maintaining such premises. The team was very friendly, the spa clean and the pools are lovely. We have a wonderfully relaxing time to celebrate our anniversary! Highly recommended that you make the team to check this spot out!

This is a very pleasant and relaxing way to spend a few hours. A choice of eight different pools of varying temperatures, the smell of sulphur in the air makes it feel quite exotic. It is reasonably priced and represents good value for money. As we left mid-afternoon a very large tour group arrived and it would not have been... More

Had the most relaxing half hour soak in the private pool. Totally worth it. Private, clean and rock pool like design with a great view across the lake. Went around midday, no queue, went straight in. Will be back.

Great experience! We went early afternoon, which is recommended as at 5pm bus loads of tour groups arrived (a local tipped us off about this!). There are various entrances packages, we paid for the adult pools ($29pp) which gave us access to a number pools & a reflexology walk. There is a main pool which is the coolest temperature (about... I opted for the adult deluxe option as i've preivously done the regular adult option. Deluxe is much nicer! Change rooms, pools, lockers and towels are much worth the extra money. Spent around 2 hours here relaxing the pools. It's a must do.

My partner and I treated our selves to a couples massage. We were greeted by amazing and professional staff, given robes and sent to get changed into our bathers. From there we spent an hour soaking in the outdoor mineral pools over looking part of the lake, an awesome experience. We were then taken into a very luxurious spa room... More

Visited the spa on an afternoon when the weather was a bit miserable although it had stopped raining. The hot pools are of varying heats although they all seemed quite hot. You need to experience all of the pools and I don't think their is a need to pay the extra money for a private pool unless the place was... More

Rotorua has some amazing attractions. One if the best is the Polynesian spa. Tourist or local the spa resort is quite simply luxury. Professional and courteous staff, an amazing venue with one of the best outlooks available and the team at the spa are the very best. The relax 60 package is the very best way to start, or finish... My husband had been the previous day for a massage and use of the luxury spa and really enjoyed it. We decided to go the next day at 8am before leaving Rotorua so I could experience it. Our experience at the start was not ideal. We were there at 7.50 with another couple who were tourists for the Spa opening.... More

Set just on the edge of Lake Rotorua you can relax in the thermal pools enjoying the stunning views over the lake. There are a number of pools with temperatures ranging from 38' to 42'
