Polynesian Spa is New Zealand’s leading international day spa. In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa.

We did the Romantic package but so much with floating skin and stuff in private pool. So can say the floating parts per litre would possibility of being over the standard for healthy level. So was less enjoyable than expected. But view & history was very interesting.

I had read some negative reviews of this place, it was pouring rain, and I was really struggling with the sulfur smell in Rotorua, but decided to go directly to the source of the smell anyway, and I'm glad I did. The smell didn't bother us at all once we were in the private pool, and we had an amazing... More

Must do experience, the mineral and healing waters left me with the skin feeling soft with a radiant glow . I enjoyed the late afternoon early evening as the sky was stunning and the birds hovered around. In the gift shop there was many great items to purchase my only regret was I did not buy more products, another excuse... More

I thought I'd treat myself to a massage on a wet and rainy weekend and thankfully was able to be fit in the same day I called. I'm a local and a regular, frequenting the Lake Spa for an AIX massage. Past experiences have been lovely, hence my continued return. This time however, I was left feeling ripped off and... More

We visited the Spa after having seen the Buried Village of Te Wairoa. It was a great way to relax after walking around and sightseeing. The Romantic package was great, as we had a private pool to start with, complete with complimentary water to drink and then a complimentary fruit juice from the cafe before we were able to go... Was nice setting but constantly watched the green light to turn on so felt like we couldn't relax. Wish we knew about kerosen creek before we went here as this was a bit of a rip off when you can go to kerosen creek for free. Lovely staff.

Second time to Polynesian Spa and we loved it. We had a deluxe private spa over looking the lake, both myself and my husband found it so refreshing and temperature was just right, all our friends back in England were so jealous when we put pictures on fb. Would definitely recommend it and we will return when visiting again, also... More
