A group of 20 - all locals excited to experience something so different on our doorstep! We celebrated our Company's 25th anniversary with the Pure Cruise Team and it was truly a day to remember. The team were wonderful and professional, sailing their well kept catamaran, Tiua, on Lake Rotoiti to parts unknown. From being welcomed on board with cheese platters/fruit and refreshments to the fabulous gourmet BBQ lunch the staff were marvellous making sure we enjoyed the day. It was a perfect day for smooth sailing interspersed with lakeside stops showing historical sites of the rich local Maori culture. We had masses of room to move about or sit - with bean bags on the bow, comfy chairs & spotless marine furnishings in the saloon and bar we were able to watch the sails tack and stop off for a dip in the hot pools and jump into the lake. A person from our party was so impressed they immediately made a future booking! Certainly, Pure Cruise will be top of our list for any future special celebrations!

We had an amazing morning out on the new Airstream recently. Highly recommend the experience! The lake is beautiful and even though a little bit cold, most of us jumped in for a swim and warmed up in the hot stream afterwards. We had 15 peeps which was a good amount. You'll be feeling a bit crowded with more than 18, even though technically the boat can fit more. Definitely take your togs and towel, some snacks & water. Matt supplied an excellent selection of alcoholic beverages for purchase and he can sort your catering too if needed. The pick up point has heaps of off-street parking and toilet facilities.
Pros: Matt is a professional and friendly skipper. He was very accommodating and showed us some great spots! He obviously knows the area well and happily answered questions about the birds & history. The boat is next level impressive. It's like you're relaxing in a lounge bar, but right on the water. Balancing engineering and comfort perfectly. Can't say enough good things about the boat!
Cons: I forgot to bring my water bottle. Seriously... that's all I can think of as a con. Go on, book it! You won't regret it.

My friends and I took the boat trip to the hot pools. The Airstream boat was incredible, amazing design allowing you to sit over the water and take in the breathtaking scenery. The trip was comfortable and well catered (drinks to purchase aboard) and the hot pools were fantastic with a stunning view across the lake. It was also great being able to cool off in the lake before retreating quickly to the hot pools to warm up again. Would definitely recommend!

Wow! What an amazing day with Matt & Antonia. The Tiua was a beautiful boat with such special history. We enjoyed every second spent on this luxurious boat and absolutely loved the delicious lunch. Don’t hesitate to book this cruise. Thank you for a wonderful cruise.

My daughters and I spent the day with Pure Cruise sailing on the lake in Rotorua. We had a fabulous time! The crew was fantastic, and the boat was beautiful. We sailed around and ended up at a geo thermal pool where we soaked in the pools for a while before boarding the boat again. Truly was a highlight of our trip and I highly recommend Pure Cruise NZ! They are awesome!!

A group 25 of us, all locals wanted to experience something different ,so we joined Mat and his team on the beautiful Lake Rotoiti for an evening experience better than none. We cruised the lake and saw all the beautiful surrounding scenery on the most beautiful catamaran with all the most up to date facilities, then we pulled up in a secluded sunny bay for a swim and dinner, which was deliscious, and throughly enjoyed by all. A beautiful way to spend an evening with attentive and experienced staff, thank you Mat from all of us, much appreciated for a wonderful experience on Pure Cruise.

We booked this full-day cruise not really knowing what to expect especially since we were taking my elderly mother along too. What we got was a lovely pair of hosts for the day in Matt and Flic who really gave us a lovely day on the water. The weather was cold but they had warm down jackets for us to wear so we could really get outside and enjoy the beautiful lake scenery. They even brought out bean bags for us to lie on! Matt and Flic gave us a great commentary on the sights and were very relaxed and welcoming. We were able to pull in at secluded coves with the beautiful catamaran. We enjoyed having the sailing experience with the motor backup when needed. The boat was well appointed and we enjoyed morning tea and a really lovely BBQ lunch on board. I'd recommend booking the longer trip including lunch as 2 or 3 hours would not be enough.
It was nice to be able to pull in at the thermal pools on the way which are only accessible by boat. We had a lovely soak which warmed us up for the rest of the day and avoided the crowds of the more touristy pools in Rotorua. I would recommend this operator for large and small groups or for almost any occasion. They have lots of ideas for young and old.

We enjoyed a lovely cruise with lunch on Lake Rotoiti, whilst cruising around New Zealand in early December. The yacht was extremely comfortable and the owner and staff so attentive. We would definitely recommend it. Thank you.

I loved this private cruise even though it was on a rainy day. We were welcomed on board with hot tea/coffee & biscuits as well as blankets to warm us up. We sailed around the lake to the thermal pools where some of dared the weather to put our bathers on & enjoy the heat. Some of us also took to sliding off the jetty into the very cold lake just for some extra fun!!
Once we had finished we set out again, this time with clear skies, & with champagne in hand we cruised the coves of this beautiful lake & heard Maori stories from the region.
This is a stunning afternoon activity & I highly recommend it to all.

We booked a afternoon cruise on the Tiua to cross Lake Rotoiti and visit both the hot pools and geothermal rivers. Our boat captain and crew welcomed us with open arms and made all feel comfortable on the water.
We enjoyed light air sailing, sipped some bubbles, visited the hot pools, and jumped into the lake. The afternoon was memorable and a perfect start to our 2 week holiday in New Zealand.
