What a great experience this cruise was, from the moment we set off with fresh coffee and a friendly welcome to the cruising across the lakes and the hot pools. All finished off with a nice fresh sandwich lunch on the cruise back.

Great trip / great people and one to do if you are in the area

Incredible views from the boat of Lake Rotoiti. We stopped and got to relax at the hot pools before heading back for the beautiful sunset. Matt was an amazing host. Thank you!

Our amazing guide Shiloh collected us from the jetty at VR Rotorua, Okawa Bay, checked our Covid vaccine passes and we set off. Shiloh went through all of the health and safety requirements and these were repeated when another couple came on board. She was very chatty and knowledgeable and we headed to a tiny glow worm cave where we discovered the lake water wasn't as cold as expected. Then off to the hot pools where we soaked ourselves for an hour or so before heading back to our accommodation. I'd recommend this lively little trip to anyone needing a soak in the health giving waters or even just a very comfortable cruise around in good company.

Wow! What an amazing day with Matt & Antonia. The Tiua was a beautiful boat with such special history. We enjoyed every second spent on this luxurious boat and absolutely loved the delicious lunch. Don’t hesitate to book this cruise. Thank you for a wonderful cruise.

A group of 20 - all locals excited to experience something so different on our doorstep! We celebrated our Company's 25th anniversary with the Pure Cruise Team and it was truly a day to remember. The team were wonderful and professional, sailing their well kept catamaran, Tiua, on Lake Rotoiti to parts unknown. From being welcomed on board with cheese platters/fruit and refreshments to the fabulous gourmet BBQ lunch the staff were marvellous making sure we enjoyed the day. It was a perfect day for smooth sailing interspersed with lakeside stops showing historical sites of the rich local Maori culture. We had masses of room to move about or sit - with bean bags on the bow, comfy chairs & spotless marine furnishings in the saloon and bar we were able to watch the sails tack and stop off for a dip in the hot pools and jump into the lake. A person from our party was so impressed they immediately made a future booking! Certainly, Pure Cruise will be top of our list for any future special celebrations!

I loved this private cruise even though it was on a rainy day. We were welcomed on board with hot tea/coffee & biscuits as well as blankets to warm us up. We sailed around the lake to the thermal pools where some of dared the weather to put our bathers on & enjoy the heat. Some of us also took to sliding off the jetty into the very cold lake just for some extra fun!!
Once we had finished we set out again, this time with clear skies, & with champagne in hand we cruised the coves of this beautiful lake & heard Maori stories from the region.
This is a stunning afternoon activity & I highly recommend it to all.

We booked a afternoon cruise on the Tiua to cross Lake Rotoiti and visit both the hot pools and geothermal rivers. Our boat captain and crew welcomed us with open arms and made all feel comfortable on the water.
We enjoyed light air sailing, sipped some bubbles, visited the hot pools, and jumped into the lake. The afternoon was memorable and a perfect start to our 2 week holiday in New Zealand.

Each year our Bookclub goes for a sail on Pure Cruise as a special treat. It is always a wonderful evening. So comfortable and relaxed and a great way to catch up. Shilo, Antonia and Kahui did a fantasyjob sailing and looking after us all.
