We loved our experience with Kaitiaki. My girlfriend was scared beforehand, but afterwards was glad she took part. The whole staff were professional, efficient and hilarious. I fell out after going over the big fall, but at no time did I feel unsafe. Thanks guys.

Almost fell out of the raft after my second time of doing the 7m waterfall, but overall an awesome time with an awesome group of staff. Definitely a must-do in Rotorua

Had a great time. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. We had an excellent guide and I feel now I could try it again back home in Canada.

WE were a group of 5 friends all over the age of 60 and we wanted to try this experience. Two or 3 of us were very hesitant but finally we decided to do it. We were the eldest of all participants in our group...More

We’ve done quite a bit of river rafting in the U.S., Europe, and South America, but we’ve never gone over a 7 meter waterfall and completely submerged the raft in a class 5 run before. That’s exactly what we did with Kaitiaki Adventures in Rotorua,...More

I’ve been rafting on rivers with many class 5 rapids before so for me the river wasn’t the most challenging but it’s a narrow river which makes it feel so remote and has beautiful forest all around. The guide, Raana, was great talking you through...More

Let's start with the positive point: the volcano, the colours, the view, are incredible, truly beautiful (although if you have done the Tongariro Alpine crossing before like we did, this won't be too different from the red crater. But still beautiful.) The place itself isn't...More

We did this two days back. Our instructor was Rana. He is a super experience person with lots of humour. If doing here try to get in his raft :) The middle waterfall was superb. Complete raft submerged. New Zealand has super high standard of...More

This adventure is very extreme... I've done several class 5 White Water Rafting expiditions throughout the world including 3 others in NZ and this one is truly difficult. The guides are well experienced and the rafting company is good to deal with. If there is...More

Yes, they have dozens and dozens of wetsuits on the racks to get the right size. I am 6'2" and 240lbs and they easily had one to fit me.
