Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had an amazing time with my daughter at Amokura Glass! We were able to make our glasses with as much "hands on" as was safe and practical. The staff leading the workshop were knowledgeable and kept the instructions simple and timely. I am not "artsy" at all but I was still able to make a pretty awesome piece! Definitely recommend Amokura for a fun experience.

We had an amazing time creating a paperweight! Loved making it and Heather, her assistant and Mother were awesome at explaining what to do at each step of the process. Made a special holiday even more special. Would love to go back and try another workshop!

Just watched a wine goblet being made & narrated by 2 women glass artists. What teamwork & timing. My teenager was even impressed...not an easy task. Experience is free, but wonderful glassworks are available for sale. Saw another customer come by about a custom-order as well.

Amokura Glass is glass blowing studio directly opposite the Gondola in Rotorua. 2/3 of the available space is consumed by the live glass blowing atelier, the remainder is sales space that shows many of Heather Kremen's beautiful creations. The owner is a lovely young woman who makes you immediately feel comfortable. I have been there on a number of occasions and each time she was busy planning her products or indeed creating them there and then in front of my eyes. Heather is a great teacher and runs you through the steps necessary to create some crystals and turn them into glass creations that are stunning. Heather's work is clearly at the higher end of the glassblowing skill levels and anyone who loves glass will have a good day visiting Amokura Glass!

Stopped here to look for something locally made as a keepsake to remember our visit to NZ. The owner and her assistant were very welcoming and helpful.

I just called in on the way past as it caught my eye - from the outside it looked like their might be an outdoor gallery too but there wasn’t - a shame as the work is so lovely! I made a purchase but wasn’t there for the demo. Well worth a stop off, or a walk across the road if you’re at Skyline or Rainbow Springs

Enjoyed watching Heather make a kiwi so much that I bought it & went back the following day to collect it once it had cooled down. Very interesting. Lovely products.

Heather was great about explaining what she was doing, why she was doing it and answering questions about the process.
