What a quaint little shop. So many treasures in every nook and cranny. Chris is a fountain of knowledge and he was so helpful with any queries we had. The shop was immaculately laid out even though he was in the throws of packing up and shifting. His pricing is great and he was open to negotiation (To a point) on some of his things. We cant wait to get back and see what new treasures he has on offer

An amazing shop with so many collectables to look at and buy. Very clean and friendly owner. A real treasure chest of items excellently displayed. Will definitely return when we get back to Rotorua. Allow yourself a good hour to poke around.

At the end of a bus tour to Rotorua we had 40mins to spare before departure, so when my guide Fran asked if there was anything else I would like to see, I asked her if she knew of any local Antique stores.

Fran took me to Rotorua Antiques and Collectables and as I got out of the bus, saw a coin on the ground which I knew was a sign of good luck. Chris the shop owner was sitting out the front and greeted us warmly. I was so glad to see that boutique stores have survived COVID related international tourism decline.

The store looked well stocked with treasures to discover and he had a 20% off sale starting that day. Chris didn't mind if I took some photographs of his stock to send to friends and post online as immediately I saw items that would be appealing to friends. As time was limited, I told him what I was interested in finding and he took me straight to what he had. He had a rare Atlas china figurine I've only seen online, it was in perfect condition and I couldn't believe my luck.

Understandably Chris doesn't post internationally. I suppose that the fragile nature of the items prohibits postage without the risk of loss.

I will definitely visit again when in NZ next time hoping to have as much good luck at finding another rare and special find at Rotorua Antiques and Collectables.

If antiques and collectibles are your thing, you must go to Rotorua Antiques. The shelves are a feast for the eyes, full with beauties of the past.
On a recent holiday, we went to Rotorua especially to go to Rotorua Antiques. I made several very special purchases there, and Chris the owner was brilliant, and ensured everything was well wrapped for travel to it's new home. If you are a collector, and visit this shop, I can almost guarantee you will make a purchase!

This is the kind of store that an historian or movie art director could go through to recreate a time in NZ western history. The bric-a-brac told stories. There is jewellery inc NZ greenstone as well as Maori art. Chris the proprietor is a generous with his time and knowledge. It’s the quiet shop off a main street where you’ll find unexpected treasures. His collection of coloured glass is enchanting.

Nice little spot tucked away. Chris seemed a lovely bloke and genuinely helpful. Many locals also dropping by which bodes well.
Items I found reasonably priced compared w online auction sites too.

Chris was both very helpful and had excellent knowledge to share. It takes ages to view all the bits and pieces he has in this store. An interesting array of kiwiana was also available, worth popping in if you are in town.
