A lovely parkland course in very good condition. Great views of the lake. Clubhouse in the course of reconstruction following a fire. Very friendly pro shop.

we did a quick stop on a wet grey day on the way into town. the place had a great fire & friendly faces! totally recommend. we’ll be back on a better weather day to trial the driving range.

Great weather made the Lake views even more spectacular. Course was in good condition and full of character. Cashier was very friendly, helpful and one of the best. Course wasn't too busy either which was great so we could walk on, take our time and enjoy the moment. Definitely will be back.

The course is interesting with a few challenging holes. You can rent a buggy if you dont want to walk. Somewhat picturesque and forgiving if you go out of bounds for the most part.
Very few people on the course so you dont have a big wait at the end of every green before you can T off.
However, if you want a hot pie after the 9th tell them when you book your T time as they tend to sell out early in the day.
All in all a most pleasent day out, I would reccomend it for sure.

Played this course with a group from Australia last week and we were all very, very pleased. Josh in the pro shop was so very helpful and full of fun - just what we needed. The course itself offers spectacular views, challenging holes with plenty of variety. After our round we met several wonderful people; enjoyed an ale or two. So, all in all a must play course if you are in the area.............. or even seek it out if you aren't. Thank you Lakeview. I will be back.

Played a round of 18 here last weekend. Cant speak highly enough of Sue in the proshop and the way the course was kept. Stunning place to play golf and even better people running it. Play here asap. Thank you Lakeview.

We played here today and we’re welcomed as soon as we arrived. The course is in great condition and greens immaculate!
It is hilly but it gave us a good workout. The only tip I would say is to update your GPS watch before you go as they have changed the holes around.
Such a friendly course.. we’ll go back if we’re here again.

Popped in for a quick 10 holes on a Thursday afternoon. Friendly staff and for the price was really well presented. A few blind tee shots make it interesting but a good test for all level of golfers.

On holiday from Oz, visiting a mate in Rotorua. Took advantage of the Lakeview's excellent Mon/Wed/Fri deal of 10 holes for $12 several times. Josh, in the shop, was super friendly and helpful. He knitted us out with clubs, balls, tees, trundlers (buggies in Oz!), and the 10 holes for $54 ($27 each)! The gear was ready and waiting when we arrived at the course. There were very few other golfers on the course. Definitely one of the cheapest, and most fun, tourist activities in Rotorua. And the course is a gem too! Thoroughly recommend.

Visited this golf course during our trip to New Zealand. Webpages show prices that are ridiculously high for oversea tourists but despite that we decided to give it a try. We were able to negotiate about Green fee and rental club prices with the caddie master once we get there.
Whole club house, caddie masters office and range were quite old and outdated. The course itself was in decent condition at best but had a nice layout. Although the club name indicates a spectacular view there are maybe two holes where you can actually see a glimpse of the lake. So don't wait for it.
