Not sure if this is the actual harbor or just the ferry crossing. But it's a convenient location, buy the bus stop, public toilets, information centre and the 'centre of town'.

This Paihia harbor area is very nice and worth the stop over. Also the car ferry to Russell is fun to take as well.

Wonderful, safe beach for all the family. View to Russell tops it off. Kayak and Paddle-board hire makes access to smaller close-by island beached real easy. Love the shade from the trees along the grassy banks.

Every viewpoint of the Harbour is stunning and a lovely place to walk or just pause to take in the view.

Fantastic central location and plenty of opportunities to book trips around Bay of Islands. Loved Pahia and would highly recommend trip across to Russell to visit great places on sea front and walk around to Long Beach.

Sorry we were not there for New Years Eve - spent it in Auckland. Great fireworks there from the Sky Tower building!
