How anyone could say this lovely theatre is anything but five star is impossible! It's such a gorgeous wee place with comfortable seating, luxuriant velvet curtains and beverages and pizzas available which are actually delivered to your seats during the movie. A wee treasure, the locals should be very grateful! Loved it!

As my first experience with the globe, the exceptionally rude staff member made it one to remember for all the wrong reasons.

A friend asked if it was too late to order a pizza, while another customer was being served. Instead of answering politely and continuing to serve their customer, they chose to bad mouth them to the customer they were serving while within earshot of us and other patrons. I thought this was completely unprofessional, and left my friend rather embarrassed.

When I ordered a bottle of wine, I was asked if I wanted one glass! Probably the most offensive way I have been asked how many glasses I would like. I would suggest it would be more professional to ask how many glasses your customer would like, rather than make assumptions.

The theatre was lovely, and everything was very clean. And the lady who delivered the pizzas was very professional. But we didn’t leave with feelings of being welcomed into the theatre, only of the poor service we received at the counter.

From the other reviews I am guessing that we must have struck a bad night. Hopefully we have a better experience if we return for another movie.

It was the first time I went to the theatrette in Napier, to watch 1917. The seats were excellent and very comfortable, the staff very amenable. You can buy a glass of wine if you wish and watch the film in real comfort. Although only some thing like a 50 capacity it doesnt feel cramped. A very pleasant experience in a New Zealand city which is a must for a visit.

A wet weekend, a bit of research and we found ourselves here for a Saturday afternoon movie. Loved the pizza that we ordered for during the movie. Comfortable seats, a great range of movies.

Very pleasant theatrette with generous seat sizes and plenty of space between rows. Handy to several restaurants and parking should normally be quite easy. A great asset to Napier. Friendly staff.

Rainy day yesterday in the bay and hubby and I looking for a movie that suited our ages to go and see. Nothing suitable at the bigger standard theatres but looking further we came across the Globe Theatre. The movie was amazing as was the greeting we received by the young gentleman at the counter. Next time we'll go 20 earlier to order the pizza but instead got a super plunger coffee , complete with hot water milk etc all delivered to our seat. I don't want to tell too many about this wee gem but I must. This is the only way to see a movie in comfort, style and perfect service. We will be back very soon for the pizza and a wine. Thank you.

We visit here often and The Globe is our preferred theatre if we want to go to the movies. A small theatre with excellent service from the staff. Being able to book on line is a bonus.

Went to see "Shall we Dance" as part of Napier's Art Deco festival. Fortunately we had booked in advance as it was sold out. Great seats (especially the soft front two seaters). Food and drinks are available at the counter, or can be pre-ordered for delivery during the film. Very helpful staff and a free chocolate on presenting your tickets was a complete surprise. Plenty of parking available on the foreshore. Entrance to the theatre is a little obscured (it is at the back of the building at 15 Hardinghe St).

The globe is a small art type theatre which is a wonderful experience to go to apart from the movie. A lovely setting, beautifully decorated with friendly local volunteers helping make the experience even more unique. Very comfy seats with room for drinks and food which can be bought there, like being in your own comfy lounge chairs at home. Wednesday nights there is a $10 special that needs to be hooked ahead, in fact many need to be hooked, so check ahead to not be disappointed. All the movies are the latest just like the commercial theatres, so do yourself a favour and go to the Globe instead. Easy to find in the gorgeous village of Ahuriri.

We stayed nearby this theatre and decided to visit if there was a movie on that suited us. There was and the experience was great. We popped in earlier in the day to make booking and to see if they would reserve seats and that was fortunate as it was a full house. We chose the back row far corner but there were no issues getting down the row as there was plenty of leg room between rows. A good range of drinks , pre ordered pizza and Rush Monroe’s ice cream were on offer in the foyer. The seating was comfortable on a two seater couch with room to relax and stretch our legs. Good screen and sound added to a great new movie experience. We will visit again.
