As my first experience with the globe, the exceptionally rude staff member made it one to remember for all the wrong reasons. A friend asked if it was too late to order a pizza, while another customer was being served. Instead of answering politely and continuing to serve their customer, they chose to bad mouth them to the customer they were serving while within earshot of us and other patrons. I thought this was completely unprofessional, and left my friend rather embarrassed. When I ordered a bottle of wine, I was asked if I wanted one glass! Probably the most offensive way I have been asked how many glasses I would like. I would suggest it would be more professional to ask how many glasses your customer would like, rather than make assumptions. The theatre was lovely, and everything was very clean. And the lady who delivered the pizzas was very professional. But we didn’t leave with feelings of being welcomed into the theatre, only of the poor service we received at the counter. From the other reviews I am guessing that we must have struck a bad night. Hopefully we have a better experience if we return for another movie. …

It was the first time I went to the theatrette in Napier, to watch 1917. The seats were excellent and very comfortable, the staff very amenable. You can buy a glass of wine if you wish and watch the film in real comfort. Although only some thing like a 50 capacity it doesnt feel cramped. A very pleasant experience in a New Zealand city which is a must for a visit.…

A wet weekend, a bit of research and we found ourselves here for a Saturday afternoon movie. Loved the pizza that we ordered for during the movie. Comfortable seats, a great range of movies.

Very pleasant theatrette with generous seat sizes and plenty of space between rows. Handy to several restaurants and parking should normally be quite easy. A great asset to Napier. Friendly staff.

Rainy day yesterday in the bay and hubby and I looking for a movie that suited our ages to go and see. Nothing suitable at the bigger standard theatres but looking further we came across the Globe Theatre. The movie was amazing as was the greeting we received by the young gentleman at the counter. Next time we'll go 20 earlier to order the pizza but instead got a super plunger coffee , complete with hot water milk etc all delivered to our seat. I don't want to tell too many about this wee gem but I must. This is the only way to see a movie in comfort, style and perfect service. We will be back very soon for the pizza and a wine. Thank you.…
