When we arrived at the gardens a whole bunch of birds, doves and pigeons, came swooping down which was quite unnerving. But once inside the park, it's very peaceful, there's a pretty bridge and waterfall, and lots of nice planting around.

the paths can be steep, some have lots of steps. The gardens are pretty with several huge majestic Himalayan pines on show. The historic Napier cemetery is at the top of the gardens, also worth a wander around

Having the flowers bloom was an added extra as we celebrated the bestfriend's wedding ceremony here! An old yet tranquil & picturesque garden that complimented the occasion.

It's nice, but very tiny. Not big an of birds in cage... I suppose it's nicer in spring or summer for flowers.

I have been here on a couple of occasions recently to walk my dog. Dogs are allowed on-lead only. The gardens are lovely with winding paths through lush plantings and trees. There is a duck pond and aviaries also. Another interesting aspect to these gardens...More
