We went to a concert here and it was a great spot. We returned the next day for a walk and it was really lovely. So cool under the lovely big trees on a hot day and the paths meandered through the very attractive gardens....More

We walked a few miles to get here and the hills we had to climb were beyond our general level of exercise. That said, we have conditioned ourselves after 3 weeks in NZ already, but these hills were still challenges. By the time we reached...More

Really enjoyed my walk around here, the layout and plants were very good.I am disabled and managed to walk around quite a bit of it, but some areas were to steep for me.

Lovely Botanical garden a good walk from the waterfront. This botanical garden has a waterfall and a wonderful place to sit and enjoy nature.

Garden is so well manicured! Flowers are enormous! Absolutely beautiful. Such a variety of plants and glorious roses. Well kept and tended.

A great place to take your lover for a romantic walk, of a warm summer evening, or anytime. Also lovely spot for families to enjoy a relaxing time-out, maybe even take a picnic lunch or evening meal.

When we arrived at the gardens a whole bunch of birds, doves and pigeons, came swooping down which was quite unnerving. But once inside the park, it's very peaceful, there's a pretty bridge and waterfall, and lots of nice planting around.

Beautiful gardens especially in Spring overlooking the sea. Water fountain and lovely walking paths and of course flowers. Also step just out of them and go for a walk along the beach on Marine Parade
