The Botanical Gardens are always looking lovely.It is a really nice place to have a picnic.Take a leasurely stroll around the garden paths and feed the ducks in the pond.Take a ball with you and have a kick around with the kids..

It's nice, but very tiny. Not big an of birds in cage... I suppose it's nicer in spring or summer for flowers.

I have been here on a couple of occasions recently to walk my dog. Dogs are allowed on-lead only. The gardens are lovely with winding paths through lush plantings and trees. There is a duck pond and aviaries also. Another interesting aspect to these gardens...More

it was so relaxing strolling around these gardens, with a lovely waterfall and a bridge to stop and admire it. It was apparantly built by prisoners from the old Napier Prison

A beautiful peaceful place to visit, kept in pristine condition with delightful plants and trees. It is hilly, has a lovely waterfall flowing down and an Avery, plus flat grass areas.

Flowers were full and ubiquitous. Not to mention the ducks, birds, and parakeets. Huge trees, wonderfully movie like garden with trails and things to walk through. It is free too so worth it if you are looking for local species of things. We walked here...More

I always take time to visit botanic gardens, and Napier has one of the best. Steep climbs up and down by paths or steps, but mostly in the shade. Aviary and ducks at the bottom. Park at the top and choose a way down. Peaceful.
