The walking trails around Napier are great for walking and cycling. Most are hard pack so the walking is easy.

The majority of HB trails are long stop banks adjoining rivers. You can do several loops which is always a nice option. Lots of lovely trees and picturesque countryside.

If you are going for a cycle make sure you do the trail ride from Havelock North down the TukiTuki river and along the coast to Clifton. About 50km return trip but all flat, smooth trail, and eating options along the way
