Noting it's European origins on the wall, we expected more sophisticated-tasting chocolates, but while they were pretty and diverse, the chocolate wasn't so remarkable. Still, it was a fun stop with a small workroom, museum and cafe and would be nice lunch place especially for...More

Thank you for your comments, our chocolates centres are mainly traditional and suited to the palate of most New Zealanders. All of our centres are made here, unlike others where the centres are bought in and a flavor added. We hope to see you on...More

We went to Silky Oak on a tour from a cruise ship. The coach was met by a smiling lady with a tray full of chocolates for us to try - delicious. We then went in to the factory to be shown how the chocolates...More

It sounds like you had a fantastic time all round, which is how it should be when on holiday. Which the memories were no doubt relived with each chocolate, heaven.

We visited this lovely attraction after visiting the Gannet Colony in the morning. We were a group of 6 and arrived towards the end of the traditional lunch hour. The cafe offers some wonderful on the premises made food which is beautifully presented and served...More

Was staying with my sister in Napier and this is her favourite stop as she is a chocoholic. We had the best iced coffee I have ever tasted my sister an iced chocolate and my partner a banana smoothie. They have also two shops on...More

Your sister obviously has good taste, as the iced coffees, along with the iced chocolate drinks are simply the best. I am sure you will remember your visit each time you use the salad servers. Thank you for visiting us.

We try to cater to most (if not all people) with the variety of things to see and do here at Silky Oak. We are really pleased that you have obviously enjoyed being with us, and that Sherbet fudge is yummy.

Great visit, they have nice ice chocolates made from real chocolate made at their company. The staff were a little under stress but seemed to handle well. Possibly due to the fact of being a cruise ship day which was understandable.

A delicious breakfast to celebrate a birthday. We both had the Eggs Benedict on a toasted bagel with a choice of bacon or ham. It was scrumptious. The staff were friendly and helpful and we could have adjusted the meal to suit if required.
