I don't have a sweet tooth but this place has inspired me to try some of their amazing chocolates! This time I bought CHILLI chocolates for,my sister, her favourite! Better still she got to eat them all herself as her family don't like them... Don't know which to choose ask and you will be given very good advice. Gift wrapped... More

Thank you so much for your kind words, it is always appreciated when people take the time to write a review. We hope you get to try some of the chilli ganache, chocolate originally was served with chilli and did not have any sugar in it. Somehow it just taste wonderful. I visited the Silky Oak Chocolate Company as part of a tour bus whilst in Napier, and I probably wouldn't have visited otherwise due to it's location, and not having a car to get around. It's not in the main Napier shopping precinct. I don't know if I missed any free sampling of chocolates because I took a photo of... More

Stopped here for some afternoon tea and a quick visit to the chocolate shop - we arrived 20 minutes before the cafe closed and from the moment we stepped in the cafe all the staff continued to remind us that the cafe would be closing soon and that we had to finish everything by 4. We therefore asked for most... More

Customer service is very important to us. I am sorry that you felt pressured during your time with us, and have spoken to the new staff member concerned. Please be assured it will not happen again. The Chocolate Extreme is a huge hit, we literally have people from around the world asking for it. It should have been explained to... More

We had lunch at the cafe as well as hit the shop for chocolate delights. The lunch we had was unexpectedly beautiful, with lots of salad and flavour. The chocolate shop was very busy indeed, and with one two staff on site meant that service was tested. Overall though, when we were served, she was lovely and the chocolates were... More

Stopped here on a cruise excursion. The one highlight was the free sample at the start of the tour. Otherwise, we felt the place was trying to sell, sell, sell to us. But the worst part, we logged onto their "Silky Oaks GUEST WiFi" and the owner told us she would not give us the password as we were not... More

I would normally find something positive to say with each post; in this instance I think the only mistake we have made is that we need to change the name of our WiFi from guest to Meetings. We have WiFi available in our conference centre; this couple were extremely rude and insistent that we release our password to them. They... More

We were with a tour group called "Top Tastes'" out of Napier and this was one of our stops. Not sure if I would go out of my way for this but if you are a chocolate lover this is the place for you. Hand made and delicious but on the pricey side. Worth it as we got free samples.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We use couverture chocolate, which does not have any added fats like compound chocolate does. This tends to make it a little more expensive, but worth it for the taste difference alone. We hope you visit us again More

We are really pleased you enjoyed your visit. Our Chocolate is couverture, so does not have any added fats, or palm oil as other chocolate (compound) this could be why you noticed a difference in pricing. We hope you have the opportunity to visit us again. More

We arranged to go through the triple chocolate temptation, where you go through the museum with one of Silky Oaks own, we were fortunate to have Jeanette who has worked for Silky Oak for a long time.
