My family and I go to the silky oak cafe at least twice a month. The food is always at a very high standard and their iced chocolate is the best I have ever had. We always take visitors there with the knowledge that the...More

Your right the Iced Chocolates (and Iced Coffees) are simply the best. Thank you for your continued patronage. Have you visited our new Pantry Shop yet? We have just introduced a Peach and Ginger Sorbet, it is just lovely.

We did the triple dipper tour where we started in the museum which had some very interesting old school chocolate tins and information on the history of the cocoa bean and some random old Cadbury adds that had John Cleese in one 😂 the lady...More

We called in to the Chocolate Company during our “Hooters” tour. There was quite a range of chocolate as well as knowledgeable people to talk to. The chocolate was good quality and we had pleasant afternoon teas for several days after. Worth the journey if...More

I am sure you had a great time out and about with Hooters. Thank you for coming back for extra afternoon teas. We hope you took enough chocolate away with you to keep you going for some time.

This shop has all treats to tempt the non choc types with the smell of the factory floor and the single treats to satisfy the sweet tooth

Overall we found the history of chocolate a fascinating read and experience, with a great learning experience for us. However, we found the store a little difficult to find using a GPS as the address in the brochure we had didn't match the actual address...More

We are really pleased you enjoyed our museum. Chocolate has been around for 3,000 years, and certainly has a wide history. Unfortunately someone changed how we were found via GPS, so now it shows as Links Road Hastings.

Went here thinking to buy some chocolate from the factory floor at a reasonable price. Went to the shop to find the prices quite exorbitant. With a block of slightly lower quality chocolate available at Countdown for a fraction of the price, the $12.50 per...More

We are pleased you enjoyed your time at our café, and enjoyed our friendly service. Chocolate is like wine, it has different qualities, similar to cask wine versus a top range of bottled wine. The type of chocolate normally found in the supermarket is compound,...More

I like chocolate, but the silky oak cafe has much more. In fact, of all things I like their homemade bread best! To me the iced chocolate is too much, but the family love it. The iced coffee is better.

Thank you for posting your review. Yes, I agree the bread is great. We now sell chutneys, and cheese (in our pantry shop)that would go with it should you decide to take some home.
