We went to Silky Oak on a tour from a cruise ship. The coach was met by a smiling lady with a tray full of chocolates for us to try - delicious. We then went in to the factory to be shown how the chocolates are made which was fascinating. A visit to the chocolate museum followed where we found... More

Was staying with my sister in Napier and this is her favourite stop as she is a chocoholic. We had the best iced coffee I have ever tasted my sister an iced chocolate and my partner a banana smoothie. They have also two shops on site selling local produce and I purchased some wooden salad servers and my sister from... More

Your sister obviously has good taste, as the iced coffees, along with the iced chocolate drinks are simply the best. I am sure you will remember your visit each time you use the salad servers. Thank you for visiting us. More

What do you want to do? Indulge your chocolate taste buds? Eat good food for lunch? Shop for interesting things? Put some time away for a stop here. I took away some sherbet fudge and have just had it with a cup of tea. Stop by, linger and treat yourself.

We try to cater to most (if not all people) with the variety of things to see and do here at Silky Oak. We are really pleased that you have obviously enjoyed being with us, and that Sherbet fudge is yummy. More

The moment our bus arrived at Silky Oaks we were met by one of the owners with samples of chocolate for everyone. Then we went into the shop to see how the chocolates were made and to hear the history of the business. We were able to visit their museum that told the history of chocolate production by companies like... More

Great visit, they have nice ice chocolates made from real chocolate made at their company. The staff were a little under stress but seemed to handle well. Possibly due to the fact of being a cruise ship day which was understandable.

Went here when on holiday with my mum. The shop was really cute with heaps of cool things. They also have a chocolate museum that we went to with was really cool. Gave you all the history about where chocolate originated from and also the history of cabury's chocolate. It cost us $10 to get into the museum which I... More

A delicious breakfast to celebrate a birthday. We both had the Eggs Benedict on a toasted bagel with a choice of bacon or ham. It was scrumptious. The staff were friendly and helpful and we could have adjusted the meal to suit if required.

I'm never one to turn down the chance to visit a chocolate centre - have seen many in the UK and worldwide - so this was a nice stop. It was also lunchtime. It was well signposted, and a fair drive from the Arataki Honey where we'd just been, but the car park is good, it's all on the level,... More

We were given a small free sample, and bought a couple of little chocs, but most of it was very overpriced. Have been to Cadburys in Birmingham and this doesn't come close! The restaurant redeemed the situation somewhat. Some imaginative and healthy* options on offer. * Well I def couldn't describe the kids meal as healthy actually.

It is always good to receive all types of reviews as we always check our processes/product to see if we are keeping our high standards. Our chocolate is couverture which does not have any added fats or palm oil, hence pricing, as you are eating 'real chocolate'. The chocolate is ranked 5th in the world. Definitely not Cadbury's. The kids... More
