Welcome to the national Aquarium, Marine Parade, Napier.Te Whare Tangaroa O Aotearoa New Zealand's largest display of aquatic life and unique New Zealand wildlife, including sharks, stingrays, living coral, kiwi, tuatara and a huge range of fish species. A fun and educational place to visit for all the family. Located in Napier, the National Aquarium is one of the premier Hawke's Bay Tourist Attractions. Opening Hours: Daily from 9.00am - 5.00pm, last entry 4:30pm, closed Christmas Day

Lovely little aquarium and very easy to get around and see almost all the exhibits. Fantastic seeing kiwi moving through the enclosure. Was looking forward to seeing the tuatara but the exhibit was fully lit and no lizards were out of burrows to be seen....More

Took our 9 year old to the Aquarium, it was his first time to any. He loved it. Took us just over an hour to get through.

We had friends up from Wellington. We got to see the fish being fed and the diver interacted with the kids.
