We stopped here for lunch as part of an all-day wine tour and it was absolutely amazing! Sit outside under the arbor if you can. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. Food was incredible (some of the best we had during our NZ trip) and the service was excellent. We had the green-lipped mussels to start and... More

Outstanding! The Riesling wine was one of the best we have tasted. The food was truly wonderful and as for the pud - which we never normally eat, this was irresistible! Raspberry ice cream in a chocolate case - spectacular to look at at and divine to eat

This winery is breath taking. The scenery is amazing as it is located onto of the hill. We did the tasting which was a good experience. The employees at the cellar had good knowledge of the wines and the production of the wines. We had to pay a $5 tasting fee which was fine as you are given a really... More

Fabulous winery and a beautiful place to visit if you are visiting the Hawkes Bay. The wines were great but the location and the historic buildings were the highlights

Out of all the wineries we visited, this had the best wine tasting experience. It costs $5 but you get a free glass to take home with you. It was great walling down into the cellar and around the building (interesting history) The views are fantastic and the wine is lovely and very well priced (especially compared to other wineries... This is a winery with a difference. If you can get someone to tell you the history of the building it is amazing! Would have loved a tour of the building but not sure if this is available.

An absolutely fabulous Concert. We arrived when the gates were opened to listen to all of the Artists, before the Dixie Chicks came on. We had great seats and an area in front of us so as we could dance. These people played before the Dixie Chicks, Badger, Kaylee Bell, Jason Evans, Atlantic City were all fantastic artists, we were... The weather was ideal. Not too hot and the rain had settled. The music was great...a fabulous array of talent and the Dixie Chicks excellent entertainment. Fantastic lighing and sound system. What a shame that the organistaion at the venue was so poor. Yes overpriced pre ordered wine that took 45 minutes to get and was limited to 1 bottle... More

Mission Estates was a stop on a larger tour we took in and around Napier. This is one beautiful setting. The building is Victorian in style and about as picturesque as you can handle. Grounds are manicured overlooking acres of vineyard. Wine tastings are well done in this, New Zealand's oldest winery.
