This zoo is friendly, welcoming and so easy to walk around. I love the different animals that we can look at and watch being fed. The grounds look good and it is a lot of fun to visit.

Made a day trip from Rotorua. Was well worth the drive. It is a very low key zoo compared to Auckland zoo but the enclosures look a lot friendlier to the animals. Took 2-3 hours to walk around.
