I know there are always complaints about not seeing the animals. You can read some here and I heard a few people complaining while I was there with my niece but get a grip! They're animals! And it was damn hot! Most were just looking for shade or not being active. You know, just like they would in the wild!!... More

The Zoo was a disappointment as we paid good money to see a variety of exotic creatures but actually saw very few. Most of the animals were either too far away to see or hiding. We complained on the way out and were told the animals were probably sleeping. To be honest it was a waste of money.

Hamilton Zoo is a good, small zoo with a variety of animals. We're regular visitors with a season pass, which allows repeated visits throughout the year, which can either be a short 30-60 minutes or longer as the day allows.

We have been to the Hamilton Zoo twice now with our son, his wife and their 2 young children and each time it was certainly worth the visit. There is a wide range of animals to see, our grandchildren certainly enjoyed watching the monkeys and loved the giraffes and spotting the eels and fish in the water. You can easily... More

The staff are amazing. My son dropped his "Biddle" his favourite soft toy that he can't sleep without into the chimp enclosure accidentally. The staff were amazing and super understanding that accidents happen with small child. They managed to get the chimps away and Biddle back to us after giving us clear safety instructions on how to wash him. Thank... More
