We visited the zoo after a day trip to Hamilton. It has large enclosures and the up close experiences you can have with the animals are great. We are definitely going to return

Lots of parking with friendly , helpful staff throughout the Zoo. Easy pathways - mostly paved. Animals easy to see. Our 2 year old grandson was enthralled and very excited to see the Lemurs, Campkins, Tigers, Giraffe, Red panda's and Kunekune pigs. Lovely to have...More

We arrived late. There were quite a few visitors. We walked for ages and there was plenty to see. The cafe’ cues can be long. Recommend to go early. Nice place for families, couples and picnics. I prefer this place to the Gardens.

I enjoyed this zoo, not too big and not too small. Had a lot of fun looking at all of the different animals. I loved the monkeys.

Visited with family and grandson. The ring tailed lemur feeding was a real highlight for our grandson - he loved every minute of helping the keeper to feed the lemurs. There is also a great and varied selection of other animals, all kept in a...More
