Great zoo for the family . While the selection of animals is not as extensive as other zoo's , the enclosures are large and animals happy and easily viewable . The children loved the big open spaces and there are lots of picnic spots .

Where to start? Fabulous staff and reasonable priced. Each time we have gone the animals have been out. It's just great to see the animals well cared for and for the zoo to keep developing it. Just a great place to take the kids.

Took the Grandies to the zoo to fill in a dreary afternoon. Should have known better. A lot of the animals where hiding from the weather. There was still quite a lot to see though and mostly it was a pretty good experience. A good selection of animals and some beautiful birds. The volunteer in the Chimp house was very... More

Quality over quantity wins again as the Hamilton Zoo shines brightly! They have a great mixture of diversity as well as individuality with their resident animals. I was very impressed with how well everything was maintained, how well the park has been engineered, and how well cared for the animals seemed to be. Go check it out!

For a city of Hamilton's size, Hamilton Zoo has a surprisingly large range of animals including giraffes, zebras, tigers and cheetahs as well as few not so common inclusions such as my favourite, the painted hunting dogs. Beautiful grounds to stroll around for a few hours, lots of great picnic spots and an onsite cafe. An excellent day out and... More

We went to this zoo on a Thursday, we shared with only 2 families! Lovely zoo with many animals with great enclosures. The chimps have a lovely home - always nice to see! Worth a visit if in the area.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely staff member who gave us directions on which way to go. With grandson in toe we went on our way. Was an enjoyable morning lots of animals to see. Grandson enjoyed the playground as well. Would go again when he gets older.
