We enjoyed every minute of our leisurely walk around the zoo. The animals appeared to be healthy and very well cared for with beautifully maintained enclosures. From the adorable and tiny marmoset monkeys to the towering , formidable presence of the giraffes, we were blown...More

Always enjoyed Hamilton Zoo, you can take your own food or buy it there, the keepers are interesting and share good information. Like that the announce the feedings over the loud speaker now. Everyone appears to enjoy themselves, still good value for money.

We have had an annual pass for years, ever since our son was in pram. When compared to other zoos in NZ and around the world, it's spacious and even the animals have quite a bit more enclosure room. Great feel and flow. Plenty of...More

Had an enjoyable few hours wandering around the stroller friendly paths of zoo. The highlights were the Rhino's, giraffe's, red panda's, lemurs (being feed) and the big flight aviary ( it got you up close to our amazing native birds). Well set out and easy...More

Totally agree with all those comments. Twoish hours. Mind you twenty minutes with a kaka parrot on your shoulder sniffing your perfume on your neck, under your chin and down your shirt front just can't be missed. It also... More
