Plenty of shady areas on a hot day. There were the occasional empty or under-maintenance enclosures but most had a varied of birds and monkeys. The pathways are well maintained and an easy walk.

Took the young children to the zoo to see all the different animals . They loved it and so did the adults. Nicely set out and a big range of animals for a small zoo

We go regularly to Hamilton Zoo, the preschooler loves going to see the animals and having a good run around, most animals are in awesome enclosures, we usually take a packed lunch and choose a spot to sit and eat. Not always easy to negotiate...More

Easy purchase of tickets but the map they gave didn't seem quite accurate. Lots of different animals with good viewing platforms. Sadly we missed the feeding times.

We went to the zoo for our son mostly and we had high hopes for the place, having read good reviews of it online. We felt that while the zoo is really situated on a large piece of land, the exhibits could have been organised...More

Hamilton's Zoo is a hidden gem! It is uncrowded even on summer weekends. The paths are lovely and wooded so you mostly feel you are wandering in the bush. Plenty of snacks are available for purchase and there is a great children's playground. The animals...More
