Great little time out from town. Picnic or just to walk. Kids love it. Animals about, people walking dogs. Lovely afternoon.

We visited the Arboretum in winter and still enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this place, even had chickens running around! An easy walk, close to town but you feel miles away.

Nice and close to the west side of Hamilton; free range chickens are cute and the arboretum is interesting and a makes a good family outing for an hour or so.

Away from town, nice drive (which usually is in all of New Zealand), Amazing scenery, parking available and places to sit, eat and chat. Its a nice walk in the wood , with roosters, black swans, ducks and plenty of shade for you and your family to go for a picnic. Go with food, soft drinks and loads of water.... More
