I’d not be sending tourists here, because on an international scale, the arboretum is average. However, as a local park, and one that is free to visit, it’s a pleasant spot. If you don’t mind the poultry. There are a lot of chooks! My dogs...More

We had a lovely hour strolling through the pathways of this delightful arboretum. The tree specimens were terrific with some gigantic species. The cork trees were amazing to see. Chickens rolling us with the occasional duck added some interest. Plenty of seating along the way....More

If you don't like free ranging chooks then don't go! The chooks are very tame. Some will let you pat them. Lovely wilderness paths for exploring - look for the hidden surprises along the way. Pack a picnic and take time out along the way....More

We found the map (on the board) difficult to follow and managed to miss the path we wanted to turn down to get to the exit. But it's a lovely walk with plenty or trees, creeks and a small lake as well as some friendly...More

A wonderful nature walk for the family. Pushchair friendly, fenced and wide paths. Water features, birdlife and beautiful mature trees. The park is located alongside a far so the opportunity to see cows is a plus for the kids. Not unusual to see the odd...More

I have been here many times but visiting after lots of rain wasn’t my best idea. A bit too much mud, slippery leaves and a bad smell from the rotting vegetation for my liking. But it’s a nice walk especially with kids that need to...More

Hi not sure, it is run by the council so I would ask them. Would get great shots at spring and fall due to the colours. There is stock around so it may be no. Cheers
