A fantastic collection of trees, set out in an easy to get around park. Suitable for pushchairs, and easy enough for children to walk around. You can do a short walk or the longer walk depending on what you want to do. There are toilets on site and an interesting collection of cross breeding chickens.

Would be a great spot for a picnic on the grassy open areas or under the trees. Extensive well maintained paths past wonderful tall trees and by ponds full of ducks, geese and swans. There are also scads of hens of various breeds, some with tiny and very cute chicks in tow.

Nature at its best. Smells of grass and trees. Easy walking paths. Not difficult. Birdsong and quiet. Very nice place to walk around. Worth a stop.

A great place to visit with the grandchildren. The kids can run free, pushchair no problem and the big attraction for the children is all the hens and roosters free ranging around the place. We take bird seed (available from supermarket) and enjoy feeding the birds.

I must be one of the lat people in Hamilton to have stumbled on this. Basically a bush and tree reserve close to the city with some nice walks. You can get away with as little as a 30 minute walk or a gentle 90 minute walk. Very gentle terrain and mostly shingled so pretty easy walking even for the... More

Free to visit and really a well-kept secret. Plenty of space to picnic, walk and enjoy the trees and natural unspoilt surroundings.

Great for a walk or escape from the city. A vast area which offers short or long walks. Most of the parts are stroller accessible. there is a carpark, drinking water tap (from a well) and a toilet.

You don't expect hens and chickens (and roosters) to welcome you but here they do - what a surprise. A nice easy walk through the trees, pass ponds, farm land and up and down. Even saw a Moa hidden in the bush (Well a wooden cutout) Not to hard a walk, but very interesting. I must say that we were... More
