Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing stadium. Always an awesome place. Visiting to watch rugby games is always a highlight. The night light shows recently are amazing. A highlight the other week was watching the Black Ferns!

Visited for the GB lions rugby league tour arch against Tonga. Atmosphere fantastic, such a shame about the score!
Food and drinks reasonably priced compared to many other stadiums.
Also not too big so you feel more part of the action.

Great stadium great atmosphere. Rubbish food rip off drinks $8.70 for a 300ml can of beer that cost $1.70 wholesale. Fish and chips frozen fish piece cut in half. Absolute rip of. If you going to an event at this Venus take your own food I dumbfounded about the costs and quality of their food might explain why no one is at the sevens this year.

I really like the seating. Great for watching rugby. Toilets are good however food and drinks are not. Really over priced. Beer isn't bad but other drinks are not. Food is below average. Often cold and again over priced. Most cafes in nz would be 'a lot better. I have been going with my family for many years. We are season tickets holders. The food and drink has steadily declined in this time

The stadium is rather small, but I like that aspect. It just seems more intimate. It's about as big as a high school football stadium if not bigger. I'd love to come back and watch another All Blacks game here.

Because it holds less than 20,000, it has an amazing, intimate vibe on match days, great location only 10mins walk to pubs, and really easy access. One of the best in NZ.

Love the stadium which must rank as one of the best anywhere for watching sport. If it wasn't for the food quality, would give it a 5/5 score. Normally, because of other feedback received, I do not eat at the stadium but just had to last time. I thought a safe choice would be a pie but it was inedible. A pie inedible you say - that was what I thought, but the base was as thick and tough as leather. I 'sucked' out the contents and despatched the crust to the rubbish bin. Disgraceful quality control but not unexpected.

We went to the stadium to see the Hamilton World rugby 7's. The stadium was easy to find - walking distance from the CBD, well signed for the event in question - the facilities good, and kept clean over the 2 day event. The food stalls are probably the best I have seen, and tried in a venue such as this, the food was hot, fresh and very edible. Also looking around it was consistent. The stadium was a cashless venue, wristbands were in use; we had no issues with them, I think there may have been a few 'hiccups' the first day. It did seem to make things efficient. The 7's rugby, we have been to others and this stadium was a perfect size (not too big) and it was great entertainment. The best we have been to. Well Done Hamilton

Hi I have a seating question. I have been to Waikato Stadium twice in the Brian Perry Stand section 8. I am wondering about going over to the other stand, Section 25 or 26 in the Wel Network Stand. The seats are slightly cheaper and I could be a little more in the mid field. Obviously there must be some drawbacks to this cheaper side?
