So we've been to Escapsit a couple of times, and everytime we are blown away by the friendliness of the staff, and the many fun things to do. We had a 14yr oolds birthday here where they did a room and played games afterwards. The room was great, amazing art and detail work on the props and a fun story. Board games are always a hit, and with so many to choose from even those not keen will be swayed. We have also has a chance to try out the new VR and had lots of fun - not just shooting type games which I imagined, but fun cooperative/team games. Definitely a first choice of.places to go when you're bored/its too hot/too wet/or just to hang out and play games and drink tea :)

We arranged to do two rooms simultaneously - my twins for their birthday with their friends in one room, and me and a friend in another room. Most of the participants had never done escape rooms before, however everyone thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Impressed with the level of props and interactive nature of the rooms, the melding of technology and brain making even experienced escape-roomers have to think outside the box. Staff as great and friendly as always (we've been coming here for 4 years now).

Super cosy and nice venue, with option to buy drinks and snacks after the room, and enjoy some board games for free as part of the escape room.
The room itself was really well made and the staff gave us a really good introduction story as well as good hints throughout the room.
It was a bit hard to adjust that some objects (except for keys) could be used several times which is something we had never experienced before.
Would recommend going here if you like escape rooms and you’re in town!

Went the first time with my husband and kids and we all had a blast, so much so that when I was raving about it at work the next day workmates decided to go for their birthday less than a month later, so I got to try a second room. Staff were super friendly and accommodating on both occasions and my kids want to go and do escape rooms every weekend now - we're having to ration them out. Had time to play board games after our first visit, but not after our second visit. I really hope this business thrives.

We have been to more than 30 different Escape Rooms in New Zealand and Australia, this is definitely our favourite. 100% recommend. Not only are the rooms well thought out, but also the team is awesome in their own right. My wife loves their hot chocolate!
Today we completely cleaned out their Heist 2.0 room. The feeling I have would be likened to finishing a really good TV series or a great video game. You just don’t know what to do with life anymore.
If you are ever in Hamilton for a day trip or a longer stay, a visit here is a must!

We really enjoyed hosting your team for Hei$t 2.0, we really admired your dedication (the clipboard and the game plan!! OMG) you really enjoyed the room the way we envisioned it - thank you, you really made our hard work worth it!

This is one of the best escape room locations in NZ - we’ve done lots and these rooms are awesome. The care and love that goes into designing the rooms is evident - they aren’t a “chain” and it shows. Highly recommend. And you get a free hour of board game playing as well with your escape room!

I loved this escape room!
It was our first time in this kind of game and it was a really fun experience! The girl explained to us in a very kind way and with a good English (easy to understand for foreigners). Of course we started with the “easiest” room, as she suggested us. When she said easy I thought it would be easy, obvious and maybe boring, but it wasn’t! We spent a good time trying to match all clues and going on, I found it challenging and entertaining.
Completely worthy! Happy to have decided to go there

The title says it all. Had the pleasure of accompanying some friends to the new Escape Room set up in Hamilton. When we arrived, we were welcomed by warm, friendly, professional hosts. Even though the place was busy, they accommodated us by setting us up with some video games and board games. We hung around and enjoyed the ambience before having a go at the Scary FarmHouse. It was awesome. My friends and I loved it. I can't wait to try the other rooms available!

We had a fun wee afternoon solving one of the medium level difficulty escape rooms and had a great time. We headed into the Tabby room adventure with a little trepidation that we would get endlessly stuck but the team gave us a couple of clues when we were all out of ideas.
It was a well thought out set of puzzles, nicely designed scenario and we had a great time.

I have gone to escapist so many times that I have completed every room except from bloodstone keep (but I’m hoping to do so soon) and I love this place. Every room has unique puzzles, amazing designs, and are a great challenge for everyone. The rooms have clearly been designed with great thought and have been made perfectly. Escapist is an amazing place to go for anyone of any age, (although some of the rooms aren’t appropriate for all ages, for example their amazing horror room, forsaken farmhouse) great for families and friends, or people just looking for a new and exciting challenge. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something to do in Hamilton
