Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting Inspirit Gallery is a regular treat on my Sunday morning rounds.
The gallery features many leading arts and crafts specialist wares from around the country, and I often find something to admire, or buy.
It is also a very special place with a unique river valley Waikato country outlook, and Jenny who runs it is spirited and knowledgeable, always good for a chat too.
One of my favourite Waikato destinations for sure, and one connected to a number of others of interest and merit nearby in this most beautiful part of the Waikato countryside.

We had a lovely time at the gallery. My mum has visited previously and insisted I go back with her. Jenny was really friendly and welcoming. The gallery was a feast for the eyes and we spent well over an hour looking at everything. I could have happily bought many of the pieces. Would certainly recommend visiting if you're interested in any form of art and New Zealand culture.

I visit a lot of galleries every year, and Inspirit Gallery is one of the best and definately one of my favourites. Jenny represents many of the best New Zealand artists - gorgeous art to love of every discipline you can image - outdoor and indoor sculpture, paintings, jewellery, glass and eclectic fun art etc, etc. I just love visiting this studio. I come away awed at the talent of the many artists represented, but also wanting to take away something for myself or as a special gift every single time. This is beautiful art that will last a lifetime without ever dating.

Walking through this gallery, you really experience a true taste of fabulous New Zealand art as Jenny paints her own word pictures for you, of the inspiration and background behind her artists and their works. It adds such a personal touch and connection to this beautifully curated collection of art, I bet you wont want to leave with out taking some home with you.

My husband and I stopped in to visit Inspirit Gallery, it is an exceptional gallery in a stunning location surrounded by idyllic NZ sheep and beef farms and near to the charming town of Cambridge. The gallery is full of quality artwork that is tastefully displayed, most important, its an inviting space and the outdoor sculpture garden is lovely as well.

I visited this gallery during 2018. Everything is beautifully displayed and I purchased a lovely painting. Definitely a lovely place to visit when near Cambridge. Wheelchair access will be difficult.

I had heard about the Inspirit Gallery from a friend, and thought I would pop in for a quick look on my way south. Wow!! A very high standard of quality art , pottery, jewellery, woodwork, textiles, glass work, bronze, its all there. Also fabulous garden sculptures, I especially love the farm gate with the hawk and mouse . My quick visit turned into 1 hour plus , and most of my Christmas shopping purchased, all ( NZ made ). I always call into Gallery's on my travels, great to hear about this one, a real find at Tamahere, 5 mins sth of Hamilton. I think THE BEST.

Situated half way between Hamilton and Cambridge this large purpose-built Art Gallery is a MUST SEE. A wide range of well-known NZ painters, sculptures, jewellery, native timber furniture, and ceramics with much, much more. This eclectic mix of fine and contemporary art is hand selected by artist and photographer, Jenny Scown. A real treasure trove of delights, a visual feast and a welcoming comfortable, light-filled space positioned next to a herb garden (filled with garden sculpture too), with views across the countryside. Enjoy a wonderful hour or two in this special place!
