Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Knowing beforehand of its existence, I felt honour bound to seek it out. Frankly it was nothing special, but served as a reminder of the city's link to Richard O'Brien and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Not sure how much I can say about a statue, but as I love Rocky Horror, just thought I would say the statue and the things surrounding it were very good, still love that movie

Worth seeing if you are a fan of Rocky Horror show as I am. Quick picture makes it fun to show to your friends.

What a bad location, its a great big let down. Its on the slummy main street of Hamilton.
Hamilton is a city where they have no respect for heritage buildings, the place is dirty, the restaurants and cafes are grubby and worn out.
Total lack of investment in the environment by council, building and business owners.
Why would you visit Hamilton, I cant answer that, it is appalling the hospitality scene should be embarrassed to say the least.

They call this the greatest attraction in hami hole but its just a statue of a strange guy with lightning bolts. A disgrace to hamiltons culture, ashamed to be apart of it.

We came across a bit by accident, but thought it was great. The whole little square is interesting. Those "older ones" from UK may remember him as the host of the Crystal Maze (on Channel 4 - I think). The red 'cabin is actually toilets - I wasn't sure but asked at a pub somewhere!

If you loved Rocky Horror Picture show this is a must see but honestly there is a lot of building and reparations going on around this area and the landscape is changing. there are public toilets right opposite the statue too. However I recommend that this is not a destination but a place of interest. I would suggest that you may be travelling through Hamilton and just stopping to see it to make the effort it worthwhile.

Riff Raff's creator is from Hamilton and so the surprise statue on the main street. The town is a university town and so young and busy.

It has changed a bit since my last visit when it was a statue on its own alongside Victoria Street. Now there are some interesting wall murals and the spot makes a good place to sit and drink a takeaway coffee or eat a pie. There is a path from there that leads to the riverside walk but it was shut when I visited due to high river levels.

The Riff-Raff statue is nice art pieces on Victoria St. Hamilton and that is not overcrowded with statuary. A nice tribute to a very talented person
