One of the best things you can do in Gisborne is to book in for a 2 hour learn to surf lesson with Frank. Boards and wetsuits provided. All ages catered to. No more than 4 surfers per coach. An extensive selection of boards and wetsuits are available to hire on a 24/7 basis. We've been giving lessons since 1993 and we are still stoked to see you stand up and ride for the first time!

Wow! Frank's knowledge and passion for teaching is absolutely amazing. We love the small group feat of the lesson as well and the whole energy in the water got us on our feet on the board in no time. What a treat!

We had a group lesson, with a short on shore lesson, and then a decent in water surf session. The instructors were very patient, encouraging, and were great at sharing their knowledge.
