After travelling to different wine regions in NZ, Australia and the US, I seldom like to have my wine tastings at a wine centre. Since the owner of the lodge advised me to go, might as well. Arrived there before 4:15pm on a Saturday, but I was told wine tastings closed at 3pm. I asked which Chardonnay was opened for not that long. I usually asked that because I was very particular with my wine. The bartender didn't understand. When I further explained, I felt like I was being laughed at. Encourage people to travel within NZ? Yeah right. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay. It's OK. The end.…

for the love of wine, Gisborne Wine Center is the best with different varieties on the menu, its a beautiful part of the city and food is totally amazing.. though sometimes the place is a bit clouded

Our pit stop for lunch at The Matawhero Wines before heading to Gisborne , was fabulous !! Sit outside for views of the vines and enjoy the summer breeze .
