The drive through the countryside of rural Gisborne is an excellent trip to visit the falls. They are quite impressive but it depends a bit on the (rain)season. On a sunny day it's lovely to take a picknick and/or have a dip in the water...More

The waterfall was beautiful, and really big. Close by is the Rere rock slide. There isn't much else there. but nice place to stop and be.

It is a beautiful waterfall BUT nothing else here. A shame DOC haven't been able to create a river walk, if there is one, it isn't marked.

The relaxed cousin of the Slide. It is quite a set of falls. Easy and safe fun to climb behind them or swim at the base as well as being super scenic.
