This tour is run by the Ferry and Bus Company. They market it as stay on afterwards and continue to use the buses and get a late ferry back. I wish I had gone over on an early ferry to explore the island a bit...More

Take the ferry and spend the day in this beautiful island. Next time we are in Aukland, we will be getting a rental so we can spend more time on Waiheke Island. The vibe is just spectacular.

Waiheke is a MUST when you are traveling through AUCKLAND. There are many wine tours you can take, the beaches are beautiful and clean. The food and drinks, shops are sure to fill a full day of fun!

Yes, absolutely. There is regular bus service but the Explorer hop-on/hop-off busses. But those only reach 1/3rd to ½ the island.

If you like wine then please go the wineries are great, I’d recommend an overnight stay if you can get accomodation, we wished we did, the tourist hop on hop off bus gets you to all the wineries then back to town so you will... More
